When do you think the expansion will be revealed?

Am I the only one dying for some news? Usually MMO’s do an official reveal of the expansion months in advance. It helps to hype up the player base and bring in new people. The devs stated the expansion will launch in fall giving a release window of Sept-Dec 2023. To give some recent examples: Wow Dragonflight was announced in April 2022 and launched in November 2022. FF Endwalker was announced in Feb 2021 and launched in Dec 2021.

I’m not hoping for much. It’s more likely that they announce a shutdown considering the current state of the game and popularity. Maybe we get an empty zone where people can do chestruns. Chestruns are where the creativity of the devs end…AGS even consider paid gearsets as content LOL.

He’s probably not wrong though. This game is circling the drain. The “big” update brought like 11 people back and will probably be their justification for not putting money into an expansion.

You can already see the main features of the expansion on the roadmap. Dont expect anything major more than what is in that list. Might be some small things they havent said or maybe something last minute they werent sure they could get it, but it wont be anything major than whats already listed.

Im hoping a full on invasion of first light from the varangian or some sort of corrupted plague or a a hurricane that sweeps in a bunch of lost and broken boats that extend the island or something along those lines. A super massive ship wreck with weird sea creatures and stuff would be cool. A bunch of explorable nooks and crannies in all the mangled ships.

Just gunna be a reskinned zone. Maybe have some skeletons, bandits, a few hogs. And you can ride around on your donkey.
