When should I buy my first home?

I’m currently level 8 so I’m not that far into the game yet, but soon I’ll be able to buy my first house. Is there a recommendation as to when to buy your first house or does it not matter?

Obviously I’ll only be able to get a very low tier house to begin with, but would you recommend doing that or should I just save up my gold and buy a better house?

On a related note as well, are there any specific optimal places to purchase my first house? I’m not quite sure which area I’m gonna be spending most of my time in at the moment so I’m not even sure where to buy my first house. I’m going to be a Marauder if that’s of any relevance.

You get a 50% discount on your first house purchase! But the taxes will be a lot higher compared to a cheaper one!

It’s your choice to make! If you want more storage, go for a high tier house, if don’t choose a cheap one!

Will I be missing out on anything important apart from storage if i save up for a high tier house instead of just buying the first one I can afford?

You just lose the benefits of the house. You don’t lose the house itself and can just pay the current taxes to get the benefits back.

You can place more furniture and chests, that’s all, you get the same amount of trophies for all houses!

Do you know if it’s just the current week’s tax. or all back taxes?

I will definitely wait until I can buy the 20k house first.
Because due to it being the first house, it will have 50% reduction, so it will cost only 10k and so it will also have less taxes.

That will be my main house, with 4 storage, 2h recall and other things.

And then I will get two cheap sheds for 2.5k each for the 4h recalls and taxidermy boosts.
