I PRESS Q, AND IT GOES BACK TO LIGHT ATTACK MODE WHEN I PRESS LEFT CLICK TO THROW IT.

I have that when standing near objects. I just assumed that was part of the mechanic. It gets a bit frustrating when say standing next to a row boat on a beach in restless shores and not being able to throw my spear at an enemy.
normally distance doesn’t matter for javelin and you can throw it at point blank, I don’t know what causes it but I’ve died so many times in pvp because of this stupid bug

Hope they get this fixed soon. Javoline is a very fun and entertaining combat move, both for attacking and defending against. In pvp you van see it coming from a mile away and yet it gets you like a deer in the head lights. Many times dodging it is at the last possible secont and its so satisfying when you do but when you dont, PHAGOON! Right in the face and you are layed flat out. Its my favorite animation in the game. The sound and weight of the attack. If there is anything that should be kept at all cost its that.
