I’ve been playing since the game came out, I’ve enjoyed everything it offers to a greater or lesser extent. I mean… I’ve collected resources, crafted items, done the quests and explored the map, and done the dungeons on mutated difficulty. I am also passionate about PvP, because it is what I like most about a game and I am not saying that I do not like the rest, it is just that for me the final objective of all the tasks that I have described above is to be able to have the PvP team of my dreams, to use it doing what I like the most. The problem comes when PvP has so little relevance in the world, on a day-to-day basis.Let me explain, as I have already said I have been playing since it came out, I have more than 3000 hours and unfortunately the great part of PvP that I have done is about joining a queue, to enter an instantiated map, which is always the same, so that 20vs20 people fight over anything that has to do with the game, with the MMO that I play, without feeling an impact on anything. On the other hand, we have the 3VS3 arenas, another instantiated mode that is useless at all, it is a mini game that is used to pass the time. We can affirm that wars exist and with wars and territories you earn money, but they are only for a small number of players and cannot be included as part of the PvP player, since if making mutated dungeons was only for 5% of players wouldn’t be nice content either.
o finish and what I intend with this Post is that the PvP player is very abandoned, since the game came out they have only added 3vs3 arenas, which today are a mode that does not contribute anything as a player, along with the level system of PvP that is nothing to write home about either… A feature added by force and that doesn’t add much either.
I think New World needs to start taking care of their PvP player base as well so that they are happy doing open world PvP activities as well, because that’s what an MMO is all about. Enclosing and instantiating all kinds of PvP modes out of the game of the economy, with very low rewards, without the possibility of trading them and instantiating all kinds of PvP content is not the way. PvP players who are not exactly few of us would like to see that original features are added that make us feel part of the game and that the consequences of this PvP have an impact and feel alive both for the economy and for the advancement of the character.
You wrote out this wall of text, yet nothing in it provided any ideas. What would you like to see that has PVP players impact the world? I agree that the current system of contesting territories is completely braindead and far better ideas would be actual world PVP objectives (king of the hill, capture the flag, resource/convoy escort, etc…
Saying that PVP has no impact on the world is patently false, war is the only game mode that has any impact on the server and players. That’s less true anymore, since owning companies have much less control over their own income, but they still gain a ton of money to supply their members.
Nothing PVE does has any impact on the world. Beating world bosses does nothing. Clearing M10 a thousand times does nothing.
AGS specifically moved away from a dedicated PVP MMO because those games are all terrible and don’t make any money. If you want to see some change, you need to provide ideas, not just complain on the forums.
Man i am in this forums since day one, always talking about PvP ideas. One year later we only have arenas and pvp reward track. That is really useless and bad implemented features.

Impact on the game world? They already did that at launch.
What happened was Shell Companies ruined all servers. That is the impact that PvP has on the world.
RMT companies squatted on territories to collect and sell gold. That is the impact of PvP world-affecting systems.
So now (far too late) AGS is REDUCING PvP impact on the game. Or at least the impact of Shell Companies as well as the importance of any particular territory.
Hopefully they will just delete PvP from impacting servers altogether since PvPers insist on ruining the game for everyone whenever they can.
I don’t think there will be happening anything anytime soon. There are hundreds of threads discussing pvp content and rewards for pvp players, but 90% of the forum and especially devs and mods don’t give a damn about pvp. Many threads with good suggestions out here without a single word from a dev. Yet people complain about having to play 10 opr and arenas to upgrade their heartrunes and the devs instantly remove it. When you ask why you can’t get your heartrunes by playing pvp without grinding dungeons you don’t get a single answer
Yes, they totally abandoned the PvP player base. I think lot of us love to go and do PvP activities in the map, than can have your pocket with any kind of resources or something that makes some introduction to the economy same way Pve and Craft have. PvP need to be introduced in to the ecuation.
Its actually so depressing that this is 100% true.
To me it seems pvp content is the endlessly replayable content. But pvp is in such a horrible state right now. No updates. No balancing. Just nothing… I’m starting to get the feeling that AGS is deliberately degrading the quality of pvp content in an effort to push pvp players out the door.
