Maybe have both modes but why else would I have spent all this time getting my build the way I want it?? Just to kill wolves go grind gear normalized PvP if fine as a mode but I swear if they make it the only option this games toast everyone has been waiting to use there custom builds u twat.
While we are adjusting the arenaâs can we get a 1v1 mode.
I mean they could just "normalize all builds to 600gs IDC just as long as I didnât waste all this time grinding gear just to find out I could have logged off when I hit 60 and be at the same spot
I mean u should just have an infinite amount of any âin arenaâ consumables besides food just like in opr with battle bread.
PVP arenas will consist of GA, IG, LS ftw.
Iâm not going to bother. to be fair at least there will only be a max of 3 grav wells at any one itme.
This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Its like if I raced Usain Bolt but got to start 50m in so its âfairâ
Huh? You are arguing against your own logic. Usain Bolt is good because talent and skill. Not because his shoes are better than yours. What a terrible, thoughtless example lol
LOL , this whole argument is just what the people grinding with no skill need to feel better about themselves in PvP.
Cool, thatâs a good thing.
+1 Thatâs what I was saying before. When you gate competitive PvP status behind hundreds, if not thousands of hours of boring PvE grind. You end up with all but the top geared established non-competitive grinders. Avoiding your PvP scene if not the game in general.
I told people in these forums before. You can either have a exclusive gear base PvP scene. Where at most only the extremely PvE geared players partake in. Or you can have a inclusive equalized PvP scene. Where everyone can be a factor in. Thus having a highly populated PvP mode.
Itâs now clear that AGS choose to cater to the select minority. And it shows with the max concurrent player counts.
I think they should have a system in place that boosts all armor and gear score to 590, but 625 is still the max, so that new level 500s have a chance at least. I felt like I had enough damage output and health at 590 to stand a chance against pretty much anyone, except if I was using bow lol But this will make the game fun and challenging for everyone. It is not rewarding to beat a low leveled player and just feels like a waste of time, so they should have this to always keep the game competitive. On the flip side, people who took the time to grind to a level 625 GS will still be rewarded. At the end of the day, this is an mmo, so there should be a benefit to leveling the GS to 625, but it feels stupid to fight a GS 500 when you are at 625.
What do you guys think of my idea above? Basically: Add a minimum gear score equalizer so all armor gets boosted to 590, so new players arenât fully demolished, but keep the max at 625. I feel like this will be the best for everyone, low levels can be competitive, but maxed players still have a benefit and advantage, what do yâall think?
The reasonable answer here is to let people opt into the level or GS that they want to fight, and then wait till they get a match that fits those criteria.
If its team based, give them the ability to select their role/archetype and then place no more than 1 healer per team etc.
There is no way theyâll implement a good automatic matchmaking mechanic in an asymmetrical combat system like this which relies on player skill/knowledge to this degree. The solution is to give people the tool to matchmake for themselves.
Let them select from a range of GS or set a maximum player level they are willing to face. Everything else after that is up to them.
Newbies can then fight newbies, and endgame geared 60s wont be wasting their time fighting newbies who had magic gear scaling (and still terrible player skill)
I donât want to fight someone with sub 100 hours in the game, no matter what stats you give them. Theyâll play like trash and if they have any build setup at all it will be some meme crap from a youtube video they saw. They wont know any tells or be able to identify skill windups from their opponent and it will feel empty and lame to beat them.
Thatâs not a fair competition even if you changed their GS to match mine.
If I match for an arena I want to play against people with similar experience, not just similar gearscore, or it will still be a wipe and it will be boring and unfun.
So like gear does not matter at all. So this game turns in Call of Duty?
Would be easier for the devs. They would not have to design any pvp gear. Since gear doesnt matter and everything is normalized.
/s.
Go play call of duty.
I thought that they removed it completely? I could be wrong though, but if it already is then maybe I was wrong and they should increase the minimum gear score. All I am saying is that it does not need to be exactly the same so that people Will not feel like they wasted their time leveling, but at the same time the gap should not be as extreme as it is.
You act like you arent leveling weapons in cod which gives you a better advantage
so youre little comparison was pretty dumb
Maybe you are just too soft, maybe you should play a different game. Sims or somethin
Yes thankyou for explaining this to all these âmake game fairâ people
well doesnt look like they normalized it or gave us pvp gear top grind out
RIP MY THREAD ![]()
Normalized gear is a terrible idea. Good thing they didnât listen.
