If there is a freedom perk then it should have a counter. I would like to know where is it, because right now stun anyone with a 3 sec stun doesn’t give time to even land a fully charged heavy attack.
Sometimes it doesn’t give time to even land a half heavy attack…
Please add to the game a counter. If people decide to use it then they need to sacrifice another perk. For me seems fair and viable.
Freedom is counter stuns, game don’t have counter to counter a counter

If you’re in heavy, you have a little over 2 seconds to hit someone with an attack after shield bash if they had full(5) freedom.

Freedom is a counter to stun counter to counter would be not using the initial thing which is stun if ur not stunning u don’t need freedom or freedom doesn’t work
land a light attack If you realize they have freedom. It is a direct counter to stuns, it wouldnt make sense to introduce a counter. You have to drop 3-4 defensive perks in order to evade the follow up attacks of a stun on the receiving end. If you want a counter then use other CCs that are not countered by freedom such as staggers, knockdowns and knockbacks
Freedom reduces slow, stun and silences, not only stuns.
Now if I use a stun that means I’m sacrificing a damage dealer skill in that place. But because someone has freedom it loses its efficiency.
In this game we have perks that reduces damage and others that works as counter like armor penetration or mortal empowerment.
So following this logic if there’s a freedom perk then there should be some another perk that “counters” it.
Crippling perk is kinda a counter.
But there is a counter as you suggest. Increased CC duration (armor, con perk) counts against decreased CC duration (freedom) pretty much the same way as empower/weaken or rend/fortify. You even get freebies, as increased cc duration e.g. from skillperks (shield bash, riposte) is not affected by freedom at all.
I can’t think of many things in this game that are slower than a fully charged heavy, so that’s probably a bad frame of reference to begin with 
Knockdowns are a counter to freedom.
Freedom doesn’t effect knockdown duration.
Use a spear and hammer build if freedom is a deal for you. It has 4 knockdowns. Wrecking ball, clear out, sweep and javelin.

The best way to deal with “freedom” is to intersperse stun with stagger, that way the perk doesn’t become effective and the cc lock sequence isn’t affected by diminishing return
Its called communism and it was defeated but now the global elite want to take your freedom away from you and put you in a new tyrannical system governed by technology and oligarchs.
That is the current counter yes, but that will be gone in the next patch, by weight your 10% and 20% duration to stuns turns into freedom for yourself instead, also 300 con perk for cc is gone as well.
Counter to freedom is going more con for increased CC duration or any increased CC duration passive you weapon might have. Okay guyz how do I counter resilient ? 
staggers is a counter to freedome, coz freedome do not work on staggers

Also, you give up a perk by virtue of having freedom. It’s not a free perk.

the counter to freedom is not stunning, rooting or slowing your opponent
use a fire staff. you have ZERO cc, so freedom will be useless

exhausting net shot is op, especially if perk on bb. thats the counter
