Which perks stack?

I have seen info that only skill perks do not stack.

But I have also seen info that some bag perks also don’t stack, but they aren’t skills.

Is there a definitive answer somewhere?

What constitutes a “skill” perk?

you should ask which perk is working instead of stacking.

A perk that affects a skill I believe
Example : fortifying sacred ground ; allies healed by sacred ground receive %fortify when healed by your sacred ground

There are other perks that don’t stack either, like azoth attuned, so that’s not the whole story.

That’s a valid point. Some may also be supposed to stack but don’t

I was just answering the definition question. But a good rundown of what stacks and what doesn’t would be nice, and probably exists on the internets I’ve never looked. Also caps for things that stack would be nice to know, like I HEARD fortify maxes at 50% stuff like this will eventually (if not yet) become common knowledge if the game survives and the community stays interested

If it’s a skill perk it does not stack. So perks like “Keen Berserk”, or “Refreshing Mighty Gavel” don’t stack. Only one iteration on your armor will be in effect. Other perks that give a flat boost do stack like “keen” on your armor + “keen” on a ring will stack. Cooldown reduction perks all stack. It seems that perk with a cooldown like “keen speed” that has a 5s cooldown don’t stack.

That makes sense because it’s triggered. However I have to assume keen and the like have caps or rather specifically “critical chance” should have a cap

There’s no cap except for the fact that some perks (like keen) are item specific so it can only roll on weapons and rings. That’s an artificial cap if you wanna call it that.

Pretty sure empower and fortify have caps, most any game will cap these things if it’s multi-player otherwise you can’t really balance

They do not. At first, people thought it was capped at 50%, but that’s only because there were only 5 sources you could get empower or fortify from. With the void gauntlet not giving it’s own stacks of both, you can go over 50% but it’s really fuckin hard to stack that many in any meaningful way.

Just thinking, orb of protection 10% for 20+s, 20% void blade for 5s,scream for 30% for 10s. I think those are right 60 for a few seconds best case there. Well that’s #1 to balance issues imo
