Which US east or west server should i play on

Not sure which server to play on US East or West is fine just dont wanna play on a dead server?

you can check New World Server Status - Player Count and Population - New World Database where they show you the population of each server. The numbers are a bit inaccurate and lower than the real player counts but theyre close enough to give you the estimation.

Why do you think they are inaccurate? They are pulled straight from the game.

Steam numbers account for players that aren’t on a server too (for example in the lobby).

Happen to have a reference to where devs said that? Really curious since the data always matched 100%.

On US East I’d avoid Castle of Steel, lots of players for a NW server yes, but LOTS of nasty people too. If you turn off global chat and only use recruitment/trade channels, it’s okay, it’s not bad…

I’ve been pretty happy with Maramma (US East)

Maramma

For US East:
Maramma for high pop, good PvE community, highest competition PvP community
Castle of Steel for mid pop, PvP focused but not as intense, good PvE presence too
Orofena for mid pop, big PvE community, still some PvP but nowhere near as intense as Maramma or Castle of Steel

If you’re just starting, I do not recommend Maramma. It’s currently the PvP sweats server and not many low mutation levels or regular mutations. Also m10’s require ward gear half the time. It’s definitely the place to be for mid to top-end gamers, starting out? Wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re godlike and can grind to 625 in a matter of weeks and make good friends.

It was a few months back. I could look later on but It was mentioned.

It’s possible that was when they disabled the stats so I had to estimate the numbers based on previous data. It’s back to real time data for a while now.
