Yay or nay?
Do you think a whip could work as a weapon? It could have some CC function and potentially be used for gap closing, such as pulling a mob or player towards you, or pulling yourself closer to a mob or player.
Maybe you could apply different ācoatingsā to it, such as fire to give burning effects or poison.
Could be cool but certainly lower on the list of weapons that should/would be more popular.
Who knows though maybe one day!

Its in the art books. I think it would be low dmg,stuns,knockbacks, and high dmg bleeds
No worries! For sure if they were to add whips I would like it to be like dark souls or elden rings whips!
I personally really want dual daggers in the game or even a lightning staff or gauntlet as lightning is in the game but no weapon to go with it.
Really? I havenāt seen the art books, but thatās pretty encouraging to hear. Stuns and knockbacks etc would definitely make sense. I would really like to see a whip weapon in game. If anything, it would feel quite unique.

Oh waitā¦ they exist in those games! I didnāt know. And there I was thinking it was a unique idea lol. Oh well, Iād still like it in NW. I feel aesthetically it fits, but then practically every medieval or colonial weapon does as well.
Iād imagine a whip would be dexterity first and strength or intelligence second.
Hoping to see another focus support weapon after GS tbh.
yeah man there are plenty in those games! typically dex but of course in dark souls could scale of other stats as well if it was a more unique whip. I would imagine dex and int or even dex focus could work.
infact dex focus would be intersting as it could give healers an alternative to rapier.
I remeber seeing an earth staff being around which was more of a support CC weapon so maybe that will be after GS
Being a healer, that sounds good to me. At the moment I use rapier, but I can see a whip being just as effective for healers.
I admit Iād like to see another focus weapon as well.
The main problem with adding focus weapons is they would have to be utility weapons otherwise you would get healers that could also kill people and then not die. always a tricky one but if done right would be good!!
That sounds sick. I kinda miss playing warhammer on healer. Just not a thing these days.
Yeah, I think it would need to be another healing weapon as an alternative to the life staff.
