With the arrival of the Crassus event, we had high hopes to see something different. By logging in this morning and looking at the map, I understood. Another event similar to Halloween and the winter boss. The principle is exactly the same:
look at the map and find a landmark
Go as fast as possible on the mark
Hit the boss with 50 people
Collect the rewards
Repeat the thing in a loop
Iām really, really disappointed, frankly. I love New World, but I donāt understand the point ofā¦
Am I the only one that is really tired of these āWorld Bossesā that are nothing more than loot pinatas and the only challenge is getting to the location before it is killed or finding enough people to kill it?
These world bosses would be A LOT more fun if they were similar to the arenas where you acquire some sort of item to unlock a door to access the world boss for a set amount of people. Having a challenge other than ācan I get to the boss before it diesā would go a long way IMO. Running aā¦

Little bit disappointed that it literally is the same button mashing Event we got with every other World boss. The Bosses dont even scale or atleast not properly for multiple people, so its just a left click Event with 20 FPS. While this is only suppossed to be a small Event, it truly doesnt feel challenging or rewarding at all. I didnt expect much, but AGS manages to disappoint yet againā¦ Atleast PTR will be goodā¦ right?

once again this new update messed up stuff in the game.
like why the hell was the mutations changed???
dynasty now has void and nature mechsā¦ this the reason the playerbase continues to dwindle because the new world developers are really inexpierencedā¦ also mutations are ruined this week and we obviously wont get any fix because its always the same issues.
with over 2000 hours put into new world im upset, i really love this game but yall need to hire new developers or move to a better engine ā¦
Title. An unbelievably similar event whoās only real challenge is beating the zerg there before the boss dies.
The loot is firmly meh. Most are 2 perks off bis but not bad if youāre just starting out, no attunement, only some resil. Apparently also greens/greys from the weapon chest, if that wasnāt insulting enough.
And most importantly, NO SKINS!
How can you expect players to care about this event with no SKINS!
I know somebody worked hard on these and previous events.
Im legit starting to feel bad for them.
Im sure these events were planned out years in advance, but at this point, pull the plug on future events that are the exact same nonsense over and over.
1 PvP focused event with a rotating hotspot would do more for this game than every single previous event combined.

I donāt ever post on the forums, but this is just ASTOUNDING how bad this event is. You actually gave the community SOME HOPE. You let us down worse then ever with this event. The SMALL community that still plays and loves this game, is literally hanging on by a THREAD. You donāt play your own game, that much is CLEAR and has been for over a year. Itās not even a meme anymore of how BAD you devs are at creating content for this game, its actually impressive how BAD this content is. You could havā¦
Pls Add a Timer and fixed event-times maybe every Full Hour or something and Show it in a Little UI window and let People Know where the Boss Spawns

Hello, i did your new crassus event. WOW. I was super excited and then I opened a crate and got a GREY BLUNDERBUSS. Please for once, just PLAY YOUR OWN GAME. I stream and play your game every day and have 5k hours played. I will gladly tell you what will help this game, because it is dying and you continue to put out content that is terrible. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED.
I was seriously excited for this event. Here was our chance after months of waiting for something new and interesting to be implemented. With the way they worded their post, you wouldāve thought every named drop would be insanely powerful and the craft mods would be super rare or even for new perksā¦
Realistically, none of the named items are even remotely close to BIS, and only 1 or 2 are even usable in a pvp build. The rest are just trash items that theoretically could be used as placeholders ā¦
Event that was released today is a joke. Drops are bad, 10% chance to get a worthless perk is also a very nice thing.
Also why the heck i shouldnāt be able store all my locked items with a single click? For me and some other people it will literally take minutes to store/retreive all locked items.
I swear, AGS makes bad updates so we can already just quit the game and stop complaining.
Congratulations AGS on 4-months streak of literally no changes to the game that makes it better.
Iām genuinely shocked. Weāve been in a content drought for 4 months now (Iām not counting the winter event as content as it was reused from last year), weāre given 2 reskinned world bosses that are killed by zergs within 2 minutes.
One of the bosses, which is a ogre type, has zero new mechanics and is a copy paste of the mini-bosses you would see in Castrum. The other, is more of a legionnaire that is just barely trickier to kill, but is zero challenge if you have more than 5 people with you.

You get one crate per day with crappy gear out of the armor and weapon crates.
you give gear with no resilā¦ made it look cool but jesus its unusable with no transmog.
Now i cant even transfer my locked gear into my storageā¦ do you not realize that people have more than one gear setā¦ i knowā¦ its mind blowing to hear.
also you get 1 crate a day for 14 days at a 10% chance ā¦
So I canāt say Iām shocked after the last update when they took away a bunch of chests from the game, that they were going to fumble this. I hoped however they wouldnāt, because I like the game, and want to see it succeed.
Here are the issues I have with the patch:
Know your audience. By now you would figure they would know their audience and would realize this group would hold them accountable and point out the glaring mistakes. One recurring theme is when they post hype articles they are verā¦

I logged back in after months of no PVE, did it once, logged out again.
The event, isnāt really an event, just a world boss with a different skin.
The loot is garbage, no point grinding it.

The funniest part of this is that they still marketed this as a Feb 21st event and it came out on the 22nd for 99% of the players

@Aenwyn this event is bad and I donāt know how you all expect us to kill these bosses with dead servers and no one logging except during peak hours. Once againā¦ you all didnāt listenā¦ we donāt want to have to get a group of 50 to do an eventā¦ periodā¦ stop making it this wayā¦ your servers are dying and there isnāt enough people for this concept except on the few main serversā¦
This Crassus event is horribly bad everything de-spawns before we can get to it, in a sub 400 player dead server to begin with and the few active players are running around like rats after a disappearing piece of cheese.@Aenwyn even a recycled event such as this.
