I understand why Treasure Chests got nerfed, but why is it still at the top of the loot table right under legendary fish?
I have worked to maximize my fishing luck with good gear, tailored fishing poles, best bait, and 3 major fishing trophies. Now I have stopped getting profitable loot like Oysters and Piranhas in favor of a bunch of Treasure Chests, yet their rewards have been severely nerfed. Can devs revisit fishing loot tables, please?
While in the subject, please work on making top-tier fishing loot more useful. Rare fish’s salvaged ingredients can be easily replaced by stuff you can gather at lvl 1. There are only a very few fishing ingredients that are used in ways that reflect their rarity and gathering level needed to acquire them.
Fishing is in a terrible state. Most of the sources of luck don’t work (including trophies), and like you mentioned you don’t really want the luck anyways. You could fish for a week to make the same sort of coin you could get from an hour or two of mining.
make sure to link them all the other posts that have been asking for better fishing rewards ever since it has been gutted. The whole profession is borderline useless.
Borderline as in it’s useless unless you already have 200 cooking and you get rare fish everything else tho is pretty trash some tier 4 filets sell but honestly the arcana portion of it needs completely reworked so that it has value all the items on my server are worth like 0.79 and the filets are worth 2.45
