The main point here is to craft lazarus firestaff/gauntlet with daily materials. And with enough trophy, arcana craft set, amulet, food, you can boost your way to legendary 600. You can either pick the stat guaranteed or pick the perk and RNG the stat.
People got every material ready except the ones that are not in the game or has really low chance to drop. would you rather every mage around you to have 600 gs 30 int 12 crit dmg 12 crt chance firestaff? I guess not. If you boost your firestaff HWM to 591 you can go to genesis and try to drop the best firestaff in the game rn. I have 591 gs firestaff with exact same stats
I’m not asking for keen/vicious/enchanted I’m just asking to not have f’ing focus on it. And for 186 arcana maybe be like idk 560 GS? BTW what staff does genesis drop?
Yeah. Since it’s capped and nobody craft them at the moment, there might be changes. Also, maybe there are item’s that is only visible with schematics and much better than this ones. Although, i have been told that schematics are only for the epic items.
Just a random thought… does it feel bad because we haven’t figured out a build that’s not apart of meta that could effectively use it? Since we currently have a lot of bugs who knows what builds could be stronger w/ certain stats etc etc.
I mean if you want to run focus/int with lifestaff firestaff I guess it could work? But It seems pretty useless there are better alternatives for a healer since lifestaff is a ranged wep already.
While not at the severity of tonight’s gold exploit, @Borges is hinting at a very large problem, which is the Return on Investment to committing to a crafting grind to begin with. it’s just not there.
I get and agree that you can push up the top end, and lower the bottom end of random results with legendary inputs. Get all your trophies/clothes/food, seances, tea leaf readings, etc.
If, after committing to a grid of hundreds of thousands of T1 mats (silly pyramid recipe structure)…the results for end game crafting (esp non-uniques) are so weak compared to looting…why should ANYONE bother crafting at all?
You’d have to l-o-v-e it. And I did (love crafting), until I saw this system.
Make Artistry Great Again, please (after the gold dupe bug is fixed of course).
Exactly. The only reason I am crafting anything is to just craft potential 560+ GS epics that I otherwise can’t find on the TP. However if there are hidden epic schematics that sit around like 560-580 GS then I can see it being not bad.
I gave it up as not worth my time anymore, but yes there’s ~590ish legendaries in multiple items you can find if you search online.
I don’t mind things being hard, but this isn’t skill in any fashion. It’s a willingness to endure a random number generator so you can brag that you were too foolish to realize it for what it was earlier.
I mean I get not everyone wants to farm watermark and it’s another way of gamestyle to achieve decent gear. Even if it’s more work it’s still a valid alternative if preferred.
Yup. I didn’t want to grind for watermark either.
And then I studied what i’d actually have to do to avoid it as a crafter… and popped another beer and said eff-it, I’m done crafting.
The Weaponsmithing ‘clothes’ required to hit 600 aren’t even dropping yet, so there’s that… and you’ll have to farm boss stuff with just the right range of luck gear to get it when it does.
Hard pass. But that’s just me.
So hopefully anyone reading doesn’t think I’m a misanthrope, my favorite crafting system was actually Star Wars Galaxies. Lots of variables in the crafting for combat medic, lots of places to get reagents that had cycles/differences. You had to think/work for top end gear, but it wasn’t beating my head against a random number generator.
Someone in my company is a 200 jewellery crafter. He wasn’t getting high crafts deplore wearing the right clothes and eating food buff.
He contacted Amazon who said it was a known issue and items would not craft to the correct range until it was fixed.
@ApricotScarf , thanks and that’s the best I can likely ask. I just may not be the target market…I can’t stand an RNG grind, and it’s really overt and in-your-face with the crafting and the watermark stuff.
