Why are people poor?

People are poor because the trading post likes to break and keep all your money and your goods

Because they spent all their money.

This is possibly the most epic troll thread I have seen on the forums. Please stop feeding the troll.

Not as epic as the one that said anyone who posted negative reviews should be banned from the game

Everyone said level up on your dead server before transferring. I ended up making a character on the populated server I want to transfer to so I could see what prices were.

Most things are 10x cheaper on the populated server, even void ore on my server has dropped to $3k but on Camelot it was 500g, currently right this moment 600g for void ore, 5x cheaper than the dead server. Even t1 stuff like rawhide is half as much. The legendary cooking items are dirt cheap, smolderhide/scarhide are like 5g instead of 20g. The components that are tradable for dungeon keys are 3-4g instead of 20-100g. Schematics that are 2k gold on my dead server are 100g.

On my dead server there hasn’t even been a lava barb for sale for cooking, not a single one. Some of the other legendary cooking fish are 500g, where on camelot they’re 20g. Tradeskill foods are 25% the cost.

Seems the dead server economies are complete shit. And probably why some people are starving for gold because their server economy is deader than dead.

If you think selling built gear is the only way to make money you clearly have no idea how to play the game  cough smelting, woodworking, weaving, etc. wonder how much ppl will pay for those if you can give them the high level crafting material cough

Raw materials = easiest / most boring way to do it. But it works! And sells fast too at min price. If i’m not lazy i can make lots of gold just farming raw mats. Sometimes I farm starmetal and iron and turn them into ori ingot. Buying only the cheapest raw materials and at the end of the day i’d get tons of gold.

Doing asmo and other high selling crafted stuff is just inefficient unless you’re super lucky all the time. At least raw mats are consistent, no luck needed. You just don’t feel the nice feeling you get when you luckily get a rare item.

Trolls are people too, maybe they are hungry

if you could make an effort to read before answering wrong. I am explicitly talking about Armoring here, as an counter example to his statement: “Just level ANY profession above 150 and you’ll earn min 5k per day”. everyone knows you can make money by selling time gated mats, the issue is with crafting professions (except jewelry and arcana maybe).

Short answer. People are poor cause they keep shutting down the trading post and then rolling back servers… Congratulations!

You really expected people to get this? All my threads are like this and they all have a bunch of people taking them extremely seriously…

ps: 5k per day is not a troll though

lets all argue after the fact together. Woohooo.
I’m still making 5k per day.
Without AH.
.

Yes. You are wrong about armoring.
Every pure stat blue armor bellow gs 500 sells for 200g easily. Even simple steel armor if it’s blue. the 500-550 gs ones sell if they have a gathering stat or luck.
Above 550 they sell if they have resilient.
590-600gs sell even if they are complete crap.
You dont know how to price things period.

Not sure if they are serious of what they said about level 60 earning less coins. Questing while leveling yields a lot of coins indeed… But it’s a ONE time thing. ONE TIME. But just to point out that once you are level 60, you do not have questing 95% of the time run here run there and so on… You can actually start choosing how to play the game. Entering an expedition as level 60, even lower ones to help out lower levels earn coins , a lot of coins in fact for a short period of time. Not to mention high level expeditions can get up to 400+ coins per boss slain, not to mention all the stuff from drops and chests you find. This is raw income. Startstone expedition earns 166 coins per boss x 3 bosses = 500 coins for the run that can easily be done in less than 20 minutes. And that’s outside of the drops from chests and monsters.

Sure if all you wanna do is outpost run, everything else is a moneysink but how fun is it when the opposit team are full voidarmor?. Invasions? sure, when the warboard even works to enter or you don’t get kicked for being wrong color.

Haven’t been broke before, hit lvl60 and had around 30k, always used the market and made about 5k each day without problem. had to buy my armor on market due to(for me) shitty drops, if I wanted something for 5k, I bought it. The true moneysink is the crafting and there really isn’t anything more to do but to up the skills after 60. The before highpop server is dead and been dead for weeks so there is no money to make from the market hence why everything you do now is making people broke which is a fact on most servers now.

I have 200 furnishing. Want me to craft you some trophies ? You prepay tho…

Every pure stat blue armor bellow gs 500 sells for 200g easily.

what the heck. people don’t buy legendaries armor listed at 1-2k on my server and you think they will buy <gs500? nobody care about trash luck set when most of the server is already full voidbent (~2k for void ore). and now that they have fixed the drop rate of the elite chest it’s even worst so don’t act like you know what sells because you obviously know jack shit about economy of other servers.

clueless.

Any heavy starmetal blue piece sells to low level players. Not the silk and leather gloves every scrub uses to level armoring.

You are clueless trust me.

lol okay you actually have no idea how economy work. ever heard of supply/demand? the playerbase already produce such a huge amount of supply (stuff) by doing chest run, elite zone or dungeon and the demand is close to inexistant (for low-mid tier stuff). please then explain to me by what magic people will buy my bLuE sTaRmEtAl HeLm if there’s already 30 blue heavy helm listed for less than 10g/u? it costs AT LEAST 46.65g to make, without even taking into account TP+crafting tax + azoth price. on top of that you need low level player interested in buying your random stuff (yes, because random perks you know), which is not the case seeing how in bad state the game currently is. maybe your server has a massive influx of new players but it’s most likely not the average.

everyone in my company who makes chest run salvage everything because obviously no one buys it. too much supply, not enough demand => prices fall. maybe you’ll get that
