I was on one of the largest EU servers last week, since release date, I had made quite a bit of gold ingame (About 140k) with bags etc.
But after about two weeks, the dupes started happening. Companies got bigger, and stronger and were able to takeover the entire map, set taxes as high as they wanted etc.
Only a handful got banned from that dupe banwave, but there is still 100s of millions of gold in that server that was bought in via duping.
Now everything is cheap, and the rich get richer, the poor struggle every day and have to grind 30 - 45 minute matches in Outpost Rush in the endgame to get a small amount of gold.
Meanwhile, the big companies, sell voidbent for 45k a piece, selling ridiculous items for huge amounts of money that no one can afford unless they had been gifted money or took advantage of the early release days with armouring/crafting bags.
Put it from a new players perspective, they grind to 60, probably being absolutely poor by the time they hit 60, they then join outpost rush and start looking at better gear for themselves.
A ring ? 20k, chestpiece ? 35K. They calculate how many times they have to run outpost rush…and then quit.
I like how each server has its own economy but without a doubt there needs to be more ways to gain money. Maybe they should of introduced a house rent system.
Where you can open a list of peoples houses that are up for rent, and if they have 5 trophys in it, you can rent it and get those benefits for the rental time, obviously taxes included but the house owner then gets some of their money back from the money sink of house purchasing.
