Why Are People So Angry?

I’m not angry, i’m mildy annoyed (at best) that they obviously have planned ahead for a surge of players, but they have assumed that people would simply leave whatever high pop server they where on and start over. Blah blah “it’s one day” blah blah yeah well you are right, but i’m still gonna moan about it since i’ve had a shit day at work and my 2½h of gaming, which is stretching it with kids and a wife have been wrecked. So. Yeah

maybe, maybe not, but your reply doesn’t show one or the other in any way.

Does it?

So now my reply to your reply is :

“No, it’s not fail logic.”

To which you reply :

“yes it is”

to which I reply ;

“no it isn’t”

and then you reply :

“yes it is”

and then I say ;

"nope, its not.

and so on

See, I took the liberty of fast forwarding the conversation a little !

“Why are people so angry?” - It’s the Internet.

I appreciate your attitude :). Always pleasant to see similar mindsets.

Maybe because they paid for something they aren’t able to use ?
I don’t know what comes in your mind when you make this statement.

They had a bunch of time and many ways to anticipate the launch. Plus MMO genre didn’t star yesterday

The fact that people are angry is because there is absolutely no excuses towards what is happening whatsoever.

Someone tell the devs to ask daddy bezos for server money

You’re correct, the MMO genre didn’t start yesterday. But this is arguably the biggest MMO launch during the ‘streaming era,’ which does bring unique and unforeseeable issues, whether we like it or not.

I would also argue that most of the individuals who bought this game can “use” the game - they are just unhappy with queue times, which is completely understandable.

My comment regarding ‘It’s the Internet’ was vague. What I should’ve said was ‘from my experience, those who are most upset with a product or service tend to be the loudest on the Internet.’

While I’ve had problems with the game, I’ve still enjoyed it. It’s been one day and A TON of people are playing. We need to trust it will all get fixed.

Now, if these problems exist weeks, even months down the road, then I believe the anger is warranted.

It looks like they add servers right now
In the morning was :
Playing : 382693
In queue : 598223

and now is:
Players playing : 527266
players in queue 336057
So i guess its getting better.

Must be nice, all mine are playing but I have an error serverside that keeps me from joining. Waited in queue multiple times. Hours of trying to make it work and all support had to say was “yep it’s broken on our side, no there’s nothing you can do to fix it”. I got the opposite experience, I got to hear all my friends play and have a great time without me.

I got your point, and I also defend it most of the time, with the exception of this, and the fact that WoW is dead !

I can’t say I’d be as positive if that was the response I had instead of my experience. So definitely have respect for your side as well.

I preordered 6 months ago. I played the closed beta, I passed on the open beta (did not feel like going through all of that again knowing I would have to start over at launch)

It is in the middle of the week. I work and will not be able to try and play until the weekend. Maybe if they get enough servers up for the weekend.

I have a lot going on in my life so It will not be a bid deal if I don’t start playing this weekend. I have to move from my house soon. so I will be busy for months. Hopefully by the time I can start playing they will get enough servers up that I won’t have to deal with the queue frustration.

I will be watching to see how this unfolds
Good luck to you guys.

Have you ever heard the expression “I have a love & hate relation with WoW”.
It’s a paralell universive which most WoW players have.
The only difference in this equations that you call entitled ppl are the most passionate gamers out there btw, is that in wow the developers have been trash for a long time but you’re just an addict to the game eitherway.
It’s same here, those who even got to play this new MMO even for just 10 minutes fell in love with it immediately and fiercly, and now we deal with a bunch of hinderance which leads to AKA fuming the forums. Its natural passion and love for something, and right now, our love New World is arguing with us.

Get it? Boy.

If you are getting this emotional and butt-hurt over a video game then you should really reevaluate your life, lol. I hope you can feel better about a video game. Good luck with that.

A grain of salt my friend, afterall it’s just expressions in text over a video game not real life if you could figure that out mr thick h.

Amazon literally hosts and have servers for 3 of the most used services in the world yet they couldn’t get New World to work, which would have a substantially lower userbase. There is no excuse for this and boot licking is not going to help. Especially when people can’t even play the game because the game crashes for literally no reason in the queue.

Its a new game its bound to have its bugs - anyone remember ESO launch now that WAS a disaster.
This is a playable game albeit with some frustrating queues which are getting shorter & I am sure will get sorted asap.
Start the game go make a cup of tea etc its not that much of a hassle to wait in a queue for an hour or so after all we have been waiting years for this game a little longer is no hassle.

So people that disagreed with your post reported it enough that it’s hidden now?

There is nothing in your post that breaks ToS. The people doing this are immature AGS shills.

In case your question in the headline is sincere, here is the answer:

You know, you just have to lick the boots, not swallow them
