I really don’t get the posters siding with super laziness on the character creation by dev team.
Give players options to create different looking female characters… with character walk/run/fighting animations that differentiate from males.
And for female posters, don’t solve “the perfect woman” or limit suggestions here because you may have specific views… nonsense. Sliders, customization, etc.
I don’t want to high jack… but males look all the same too unless you hide helmets (1 part of the body…).
I do not play fully zoomed in (almost nobody does), barely notice a female character during gameplay…(no animation differences, gear makes you almost fully look male)… so save the screenshots of fully zoomed in female pictures and say "what’s the problem?

i’d be happy for them to spiff up the dudes as well… just after they fix the dudettes or both at the same time.

I agree. Female or “B” (maybe it’s “A” not sure… created my character over a month ago) needs much love first by the devs.
I know a ton a guys IRL who like playing female toons… not because of just “boobas”, but it is… you know… a chance to try something different.
So, not just female players want female differentiation and customization.
sadly i could see them finally fixing the female, spiffing up the male and then only allowing new players or cash shop purchases to fix all the ones made up to that point.

its just funny to see you whine about such a thing when the game is having so many bugs and problems that they need to fix before they start looking at character design and visual affectless stuff… there are items dupes that are breaking the while game’s economy and weapons exploits ruining the whole PVP side of it and you’re here asking for female skeleton clothes and stances
This is such false logic. “Don’t give suggestions, it might interfere with my desired bug fixes.”
You know, in all likelihood, the devs doing bug fixes are DIFFERENT from artist/character/animation modeling devs… completely different skillsets.
If nobody says anything, nothing will likely happen.
This isn’t a 6 person dev team.

it’s not about it interfering with my desired bug fixes it’s about priorities and such visuals mean nothing if implemented or not if the game keeps on being broken cuz it will just die if it keeps having its bugs multiplying with each update
I am a female gamer, and I would love to see more feminine customization options. If they want an all inclusive game, that’s great. But make it all inclusive.
When I was making my female character, there were only 2 face options that weren’t terrible. The others were all masculine or just not feminine looking.
The body shape is not very feminine either. When I look at my character now, I can barely see any difference between my characters body shape and my fiance’s male character’s body shape. I would appreciate a slider for breast size. I’m not asking for my character to look like she has implants, but at present I can barely tell if she has breasts at all.
I would also love to see more hair styles. There are only 3? That are even close to approaching long haired. I dont want a butch cut. I don’t want a fancy updo. As a side note… half the helm options also seem to either completely remove or halve the amount of hair my character has.
In most of the mmos I’ve played, I have a hard time picking what I like best. When I made my new world character, I felt more like “this is the only acceptable option for me.”
I don’t need a supermodel, but I would like to be able to tell at a glance that my character is female.

I understand, I 100% want bugs/exploits fixed ASAP… it is critical. But…
You and me are not in Amazon Game Studios employment. We do not know the teams working on other activities (I guarantee, they can NOT just throw 100% bodies at bug/fixes… people are specialized).
If you think someone who fixes code… are the same assigned to create character art (gear art) & animations… NOPE.
And suggestions should not be squashed by players because players are competitive for changes, let AGS determine priorities.

i gather you think this is a sudden topic? that we suddenly decided a few days ago to post about this? no, this is a continuation since alpha, and they closed down the forums for each of them before launching the next ones … until we got to live. this started long before the current dupe issues etc.

I didn’t use the forums to ask the devs to give us better characters during the beta… I used the in-game reporting when I logged out of the game, to give them my thoughts on what would make the game better… Every time I logged out I told them that character creation should be better, with more choices, etc etc etc…
They didn’t listen to people then, and they are not listening to people now…
Addendum… If we didn’t care, we wouldn’t post…

I think she looks great, and as for her pose, she’s standing in a dominant, dramatic way. She looks like she belongs on a movie poster.

Yes, a lot of those faces aren’t particularly attractive. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t female faces-- in fact one of the unattractive ones looks like a woman who taught Sunday School at the church I went to as a kid.
Complain that the faces aren’t all aesthetically pleasing to you all day long if you wish. Complain that they look grumpy. But can we please stop saying that female faces that aren’t conventionally attractive are somehow not really female? Just like the title of this thread itself, it’s offensive and insulting to real women who don’t happen to look a certain way. On behalf of my old Sunday school teacher, please take some time to think about what you are saying here, and try to do better.
