All you are really saying here is, I have other priorities, and I don’t like the idea of them taking care of/acknowledging other people’s desires until I get what I want, even if the two are not related.
Just because you don’t care about an issue doesnt mean no one does, and the devs literally posted that they can and must solve multiple issues at the same time, and not all development is related.
And again for YOU, character desginers are not fixing GAMEPLAY bugs, they are not capable of doing that, they are CHARACTER designers. Nothing more and nothing less. They WILL NEVER fix your gameplay and system bugs at all. (Words in caps to show you exactly what the problem in your understanding seems to be when you really think character designers will slow down the process of fixing bugs if they do what they were hired for, create characters)
He is, of course, misrepresenting the thread. Nobody was complaining about a dress, they were complaining that the pink dress is literally ridiculous, it makes no sense at all, it has plate boob armor just on the upper torso over a cloth dress… and the dress itself is ugly. Literally nobody would wear this IRL, and it’s certainly not combat armor.
You bring up some good points. I think the language used from OP creates more separation and relies too heavily on a binary system. inb4: “woke trash”. As a “female” gamer, I have no issue standing next to my “male” gamer friends with similar armor. I think streamlining models/body types and introducing masculine and feminine (along with androgenous?) armors and animations with more customization options could be helpful for gamers “gender expression”. I’d say I fit somewhere in between, but imho the aesthetics portion of ‘character models/bodies’ can be addressed at a later time. idk, maybe I’ll change my mind but so far I have no complaints and have a lot of fun playing the current “female” body type.
I think you might be lost, pal. Your perverted, small minded joke only proves my point to hold off on such superficial customizations. Try being more creative next time.
I think I saw 2 females characters on my server and that is because I was on the board. Stopped. Zoom in. Looked and… Oh, hey, it is female character.
I only see male characters in this game.
And sorry, nature is made of masculine and feminine… everywhere. Humans are made of masculine and feminine. There is no reason to not put this on a game.
Create a game with characters and don’t put one of them and you failed into building your world. They are different, they are both necessary.
Female gamers: “Why aren’t you being inclusive to female gamers? Where are all the female armors for our characters? Why is all the armor generic without breast shapes/room?”
Also female gamers: “Why is this armor clearly made to fit a female? Why can’t we have just standard generic unisex armor? Why is there clearly breasts in the armor shape?”
Things will NEVER be woke enough. Ever. They will NEVER be inclusive enough.
I mean if we want to complain, why aren’t we complaining about how freaking UGLY the models are in the first place?
i don’t know how much you read, but… i suggested they keep the current body type for those who choose they/them. it’s really sad, that female players and those who prefer to play female characters, are being suspected of non-inclusive themselves, just because some of us want what is supposedly a female character act and look more like one. right now we really only have one fully, even if poorly done, character type and that is male.
as for the pre-teenish male comments, ignore them, if they want to promote the idea of males being neckbeards in mom’s basement as even more of a sterotype… then they’re happy in their small little world. most i think are out of fear of change, even though they’re many decades out of date.
then there’s basically a pallet that is for colours, which is how we get different skintones.
i wish i still had some of my old stuff, but that was a few harddrive crashes ago, but i made this 20 years ago. i had to take a base skin, paint it with the facial features and anything else i wanted and then wrap it around the base character. that includes the nipples, eyebrows, eyes etc all of it.
the last one i was working on, oh about 10 years ago
And if that is actually a true representation of the difference between a male and female wearing it don’t you think it reads more like a poke in the eye to the people who were begging for more consideration of the female form and attire during the alpas and betas?
I am a female gamer in my 50’s who has played online games for decades. I have never once, not 1 single time, posted anything anywhere complaining about armor fitting a female. I have never ever requested unisex armor. I have never complained about shaped armor. Does that mean I am not allowed to ask for more feminine attire? For my character to be shaped and move more like a female?
Go right ahead and make your thread about the models being ugly. Nobody is stopping you. I would even put a like and agree in the thread.
