Why are you making light armor even more useless?

Nah, that was a great change. Getting staggered on auto attacks is just super unfun and extremely frustrating. Almost as frustrating as health potions going through the entire animation but never healing you because you took damage from a lifestaff.

Getting staggered for a half second and being able to break out after the 2nd or third hit isn’t too bad.

The Fighting Game Community has worse mechanics like grabs + knock downs + infinite knock ups / knock downs / stagger loops. Not to mention net code that is way worse than what Azoth engine has.

In spite of those combat flaws, people still actively play those games and host tournaments.

Idk I remember getting pushed across the map from light attacks back the game came out and I just found it extremely obnoxious. The game has too many staggers, I don’t think we need more tbh.

If you guys go into melee range the sword heavy user didnt catch you. You walked into their limited attack and cc range and gave them a freebie. This coversation is painful. If you are a ranged user and kiting properly shield rush gets them nowhere near you.

Coversely as a melee if i walk through an ice shower most often i misplayed and its my fault I got cc’d.

Its not relevant as its a defined confined space and has no bearing on the game atm. Light armor will still trounce heavy if they dont have a pocket healer and likely with one as well. Leaderboards will show this.

The only way heavy is viable is in very small confined spaces. The smaller the space the more viable it becomes. Very few places for combat are fought in these tiny areas where mobility is limited and even then medium is preferred.

Depends on the type of build heavy armor user is wearing.

you mean the objectives that make you win OPRs, Arenas and Wars? heavy players have access to every movement skill in the game that goes the same distance as light players, they have access to the dodge slow mechanic. you can run 6/6 CC abilities and have access to the same amount of haste as a light player and if you still can’t lock down a light player and kill them that’s on you. Light roll was never over powered to the point its being gutted like it has been.

You guys act like heavy is viable for pvp and is in a healthy state when 1% of the pop uses it.

Thats the point. Make all of the niche case uses you guys would like for heavy armor. Light armor is drastically superior in game play by and large and the devs finally get it.

Heavy is in a decent state with healers actually healing the point. Immortal to ranged and only threatened by bruisers. Is Wind Chill + Ice Storm combo gonna kill ya?

You make it as if Heavy is meant to frolic on the hill side, by a cliff, and out in the open pastures.

But it isn’t. Thats why 85 percent of players in Wars are in medium or heavy??? the few light players are healers or the few skitzo players running around. The most competetive game mode has very few light players and now there be even less reason to have them. YOU make a terrible argument. Light players do barely any damage to a medium or heavy compared to another light player, they have already gimped our dodge roll and now they will be making us take even more damage than before. You just don’t seem to comprehend that.

Heavy players dont win wars or opr or arena’s. When one player per side uses heavy in opr for the past six month how do you guys make these ridiculous arguments?

So you’re saying people capture point by constantly wiping 50 people before a 20 second respawn wave in war? Touching point doesn’t matter?

Difference between war and casual OPR is that you capture the point in war once and go onto the next point. OPR can be back capped at any point in time.

There are more light armor players than heavy in every war. My argument isnt against medium.

Team work and Team strategy and Team Comp wins wars. Light armor is barely used inside wars for a reason. You die extremely fast. There is a reason why 0 point players are in light. They are in medium or heavy. Like clearly you don’t do wars other wise you would understand this.

OPR is filled with light players because its more fun to play and also bows and muskets have been extremely popular for far too long. People aren’t going to que into OPR in a heavy build solo, like use your brain for a second. The only time you see heavy player in OPR is when they are in a team with a pocket healer, and when they are they are extremely hard to kill, you have to kill the healer first.

your only argument is light players kill me when i’m in heavy so therefore light needs to be nerfed. you have no argument other than that. I literally have a huge thread you can go read.

LA has dominated opr well past brim release with great sword bow and musket. What are you on?

LA gets shat on by muskets in war. Lol. There is far less cover than OPR.

Like muskets on top of the fort, with the ability to affect all three points by walking 10 seconds to the other ledge.
