I agree with the title of the post, they should just get rid of pve all together. So many toxic pvers on the forum , why should ags cater to them at all imo.
You obviously don’t understand pve combat at all. Yes, there are no wow-like rotations in new world, but if you’re mindlessly spam clicking lmb then I’m afraid you’re one of the people that annoy me in m10’s.
Getting max dps includes managing empower/fortify time, reducing ability cooldowns as much as possibly and dodging at the right times. If you’re spam clicking for the entire encounter you’re likely losing 50% of your potential dps. Knowing when to light or heavy attack and how your gear works with your weapon loadout is important.
The thing I love about NW is while there are only 6 abilities to use at any one time, those abilities are very impactful. Wouldn’t have it any other way tbh.

Absolutely agree. After playing piano in FF14, WoW etc combat in NW feels like relief when I shouldn’t look at skillbar most of the time.

Doubt true PVE players (and i dont mean those npcs who only know how to farm greenwood) will move away and yeah, the hardcore pvpers will def stay at new world since the soulslike mechanic is pretty refreshing and a good alternative to the “i can only spam macros because i am way too old for video games”
those named mmos all have p2w problems (yes i played most of them and i still play bdo active) and i wont take Tower of Fantasy as a serious alternative lmao.
Souls like is dead. They moved the combat for PvP to overwatch style plus the dodge mechanic and almost fully ignored block mechanic.

Hey! How about rework on everything related to combat and transform this game into more hero-shooter style, something like Overwatch?
PVP in MMORPG in general sucks or is not as good compared to real PVP games in terms of combat experience anyway.
That is why battle royale games or other fps games have been keeping larger player base.
So why not just merge better PvP elements with good MMORPG elements (dungeons, crafting, leveling progression, etc)?
I just want to say pvp in all the MMORPGs out there either suck or are old. Needs something new fundamentally.
