Here’s yet another reason crafting sucks in this game.
Why the heck do rings like “surgeon ring” drop with keen awareness and void damage, but I can’t craft this ring? So I can get this drop easily from a dungeon at 590. I can simply upgrade it to 600. Super easy gameplay. Personally, I got it dropped at 599 first time I went to new dungeon yesterday. Easily upgraded it to 600. Cool.
But for some reason I can’t craft anything as good? Even though it will likely take me dozens of rolls to get a ring that good. I’ll waste hundreds of thousands of gold in the process that I saved up for weeks. Again I ask. Why do you hate crafters, AGS? Why do we have to make crafting infinitely harder than going to a dungeon? This functionality would probably be OK if I could craft something useful easier, but that’s not the case. It’s extremely time wasting and hard to get anything useful from crafting. Everyday I find a new reason why crafting is trash.

I see a lot of people complaining about crafting. Can anyone explain why do they want crating to give you the best gear in game? What will happen with dungeons if they do and how will this balance companies that own EF if they can simply craft the best gear in game? (which is already the case with crafting at the moment since most drops are garbage except a few named items)
Dude. I’m not saying it should be the best gear in the game. I’m saying it shouldn’t be a total waste of money to craft. I shouldn’t be rolling 17 pieces and I get 0 legendaries. If I roll 17 muskets without a legendary, I wasted 255 bars of asmodeum. On my server that is over 100k just to not get any legendaries at all. I don’t understand how non-crafters just have zero empathy for people that wasted hundreds of thousands of gold (not big companies) just to get nothing useful at all.

In the video, yes they got good stuff, but you can clearly see that the rate of getting a legendary is lower than 16.666% which is what it should be if it is 1/6 chance for 595-600. The reality is you don’t craft so you just think its easy mode. Not crafting is totally fine. I craft and I go to dungeons. Dungeons is clearly a totally different game.
It’s not about having empathy or not. I crafted most of my gear and decided to use purple armor and rest bought it from AH or dungeon farmed. The way crafting works in this game makes it imposible to balance
There it is! It won’t benefit you because you do dungeons more. You’re not even quantifying how much easier it will get for it to be a problem. 25% easier is going to ruin the game for you? How about 15% easier? Will 5% easier totally ruin dungeons for you?
There is an issue with crafting. Biggest issue is that It should at least be 16.666% chance to get a legendary because that’s what was advertised. There are plenty of other issues like the one the post is about. You want to invalidate our grind to farm the mats for asmo, runic, and phoenix weave so you can stay on top as someone who goes to dungeons more.
Is crafting crap or not? That’s the question. Everyone knows it is. So they should make it better. Period.
if there needs to be an incentive to run dungeons then add interesting perk combos on a very small handful of things that isnt BIS but at the least changes how you play (AKA plague strikes on ranged)
and who cares if crafters and crafted gear dominates the server. its not like everyone isnt running dungeon weapons and jewlery anyway.
I agree with this. We can make these cool perk combinations on dungeon items only sure. That would be totally fine with me if crafting wasn’t totally garbage. If I was consistently getting at least a legendary every couple of rolls. Or if I consistently got a usable item every few rolls. I’m just tired of rolling 10-20 items and getting all unusable purples. I’m just throwing out any ideas frequently, but I’m open to anything. Something has to change. I think fixing the perk combinations so I can craft a ring like Surgeon’s could be a good change, but I’m open to anything at this point.
In the end, why does it even matter if everyone is getting good gear from dungeons already. Why does anyone care if they craft vs go to dungeons. I barely go to dungeons, but whenever I go, I get at least one usable item. I don’t even have to pay usually for a key because someone in my guild just offers to take me. That’s what is really devaluing gear, but I already gave up on talking sense with the devs about these crazy drops from dungeons. The least they can do at this point is make crafting at least half as easy as it is to get things from dungeons.
