Seems sort of selfish.
The problem isnt they getting a compensation. Its what it is given!!
They could give gold, season xp, some marks (50 k is too much thats 2,5 battlepasses or 10 gear slots).
What most dont seem to understand is.

To all of you who are complaining about people getting Marks, I just don’t understand. I am NOT a victim of the “Disappearing Gear” bug, but I am a victim of the crafting bug. I am not sure what kind of junk gear you must be running to not care that someone lost their BIS gear, but 1,000,000 Marks would not be enough compensation for me losing my gear. WTF good are marks for getting gear? That being said, if AGS actually has a way of getting the players their gear back, then I am sure MOST of the players affected could deal with the fact that they missed a day of playing the game, and don’t really care about the Marks at all at that point.

thing is, we have no idea when we are getting gear back.
I guess this is another reason to wait and see what happens. If AGS takes a undetermined amount of time to get everyone their gear back, then yes, I can see how those players affected should get something in return for their lost game time. Other players that were NOT affected should get NOTHING, and it is foolish to think you should. At the end of the day, I hope everyone affected does actually get their gear back. If it happened to me, and I didn’t get my gear back, I think that would finally be the straw that broke the camel’s back, and I would uninstall the game.
Is your gear gone for good?
I was affected. I logged out on a road in open world like a week ago and logged in yesterday dead with all my stuff gone. I was apparently one of over 500 people with the same problem.
Thats 3% of peak player count over the course of the last month.
We didn’t get our gear back with the downtime, and we probably won’t get it back for at least a week based on the use of the terms “subsequent” and “delicate”
If it were up to me they’d message everyone affected and just ask them what they want to make good, because this is actually a massive problem. Not just by severity of the bug and how clearly difficult the issue is to resolve with the buttons this team has in place, but also by the shear volume of players affected.
This is 50k marks for at least a week of play time lost, anxiety over potential permanent loss of gear, and to show ownership for an issue that should never happen in a modern video game.
And while we’re all anxiously awaiting for the ability to play the new patch in our preferred load outs, there are troglodytes like some of the goons in this thread accusing us of exploiting, rage quitting, saying it is the players fault and monkey wailing that it’s so unfair AGS would try to make right.
Just enjoy the game. I would rather pay 50 bucks to have my stuff back yesterday than have AGS pay me 50 bucks to be cool about it next week.
I have had bugs where I could not use weapons for days. My crafting broke and wasted a lot of materials. And countless other bugs. Its funny that they only want to pay some people for a certain bug when every single player has had countless game breaking bugs. Its whatever though these devs are some of the worst I have ever seen so I am not surprised they are doing this.
That’s not really accurate. Losing your gear does not actually prevent your from getting online and trying out different builds does it? And most people have multiple builds as well.
I’m not saying that people shouldn’t be compensated because losing your gear like that is an inconvenience, but let’s stop acting like this actually prevents people from playing. When thinking about it like that, 50k marks seems like overdoing it…not that it’s any skin off my nose and definitely not AGS’, I’m just saying.

Well the update destroy my melee hatchet build. I cannot play in my gear anymore. Wheres my compensation?
