Why do opr players want bruisers nerfed

Will be nice to jump on point without necessarily having to be one or a healer. I mean, I can survive on point for a while but I’m there only because the bruisers allow it.

So that will change a bit. Exciting times.

Is there really people that want bruiser not to be in OPRs? lol, they are balanced to hold the point and they are there to push as a group. People who want a class not to be part of the game are just brain dead.

bruisers arent the main point players

I am a battlemage in OPR and I’ve rarely heard OPR players say nerf bruisers. The majority of players want Bow and Muskets to get nerfed. However I thinks they are reworking combat and this is just a step to something else. Whether is be better or worst is hard to determine to be honest.

The most frustrating part for the endgame bruisers is having to reroll BIS gear. It must be soul crushing.

This patch rocks for people who invested time into FS sets tho

Not going to lie I’ve been sticking it out with my vg/ig build and it is finally starting to look good.

They don’t like when the turkeys in the turkey shoot bite back. They want targets damnit not competition.

This.

Also, I’m getting the distinct impression that bruisers are all saying their build isn’t responsible for anything in the game

Like “bruisers aren’t the main point build”. Ok, then. Fine. Bruisers do nothing. What is it they’re having nerfed in OPR then? What do they do if they’re not point builds

It’s like arguing with a brick wall.

I just got off the PTR and bruisers are still good. They may not have the grit from 300 strength but they still have more grit than everyone else. I played as a mage however and it definitely feels like I got nerfed. Bruisers ain’t the only ones having to redo their entire build. I am just trying to figure out how to salvage what I got.

the people on this forum are the opr players im referring to

Just look at the bruiser changes as a meta change like the Devs are.

300 str medium bruisers won’t be the undisputed clump meta anymore.

Heck heavy tanky bruiser might even become a thing now.

Why do “Some” opr players. The people yappin about nerf this, that, here, there, everywhere are not “everyone” or the “majority” they’re just the loudest.

All I really do logged in is opr. What I wanted & still waiting for is cell vs cell matchmaking & scoreboard reflecting the mode’s objectives instead of rewarding the stat padding ninnies that rule the mode. I don’t believe in nerf culture. Tweaks are the proper way to handle most things. This is what I was concerned with. Devs have a bad tendency to over nerf something or over buff it. At least they’re starting on a 3 month basis instead of 6.

But reality will remain the same.

Gamers & Hardcore gamers will just adapt, modify, and figure it our or just move on. Lots of mmo’s this year. It doesn’t have to be this one or none after all.

Casuals will either love it, hate it, stay, or go. Same dif.

The whinners will still be whining

Just how gaming is.

Because im tired as support mage to do same sh*t for 1,5 y.

Grav>Scream>Shockwave>Oblivion>maelstorm>Orb.

We want something new.

Grit grit grit grit grit grit grit grit grit grit grit

As a concept I think that will be dope.

Pre-mades and map design are critical flaws of OPR in it’s current state. Complaints about bruisers are generally directed towards that, since they have pocket healers and comms which allow them to steamroll the other team. Because of the awful map design (long open sight lines), muskets and bows are also a popular complaint on this forum.

I play FS/IG, and I think bruiser and musket were only slightly over tuned. I never had an issue with muskets or bruisers, but then again I don’t live in clumps, nor do I walk in long straight lines to feed muskets lol.

FWIW I also don’t think Fire Staff needed a buff this patch, but I am excited about being able to use some different skills.

Agreed there’s just too many problems. Map design would be a big hit to range players as is. Premade ruins opr especially when people run around with a pocket healer and some cheese like blunderbusses. I think new world needs to get away from the clump stuff. The game doesn’t have good cc mechanic for it. I don’t think dudes should just sit in helaeimg circles and be gods. I think a lot of stuff needs to be reworked at this point. Everyone at this point mostly has bis gear. It’s not back when it use to be when you had to run dungeons and had reasons to to get bis. The game power creeped a lot and we have attunments on every weapon, thwarting strikes things like that. The game was way better off before crafted gear is everywhere and easily available.

I want bruisers nerfed for Wars, time for a new Meta and more fun strategy then stacking bruisers with healers and playing whack a mole in giant clump zergs.

I think the bruiser changes will definitely do that.

If they keep fortify as in PTR, I highky doubt it
