Haha, this made me laugh. We have this absolute nut butter eating loser on Orun who camps people with a musket from really hard to get to - mountain spots he somehow climbed his way up onto. He then proceeds to harass them in global chat, not even area chat. Our entire server thinks he’s a useless tool.
already posted
“fun fact 1: […] or b) you kick players until you get nearly your prefered setup.”
Our company has a signup-roster for extern people, but it would be still easier to assign and reduce the bad taste of kicking if the company can choose all people. (and yes, we also take extern)
There are enough cities which don´t have crafting station upgrades or only a few one. On our server people can join them easy, but there isn´t a high chance to win these, of course.
This just in.
invasions are filled with the random trash players on the server nobody knows about instead of the people that actually own the land.
How could someone be so dumb to think this? Hahah.
There is literally nothing hard in invasion beside using repair part acordingly.
It’s mostly stat tcheck weather you have the corupted trophee / perk / potion etc
Cause they suck. Im also a pvp player for a good part, but the so called “designated PVP company” on our server, which is ofc yellow, loses every invasion so hard - its unreal. They can only play wars, I guess because they organize their army quiet well, but the rest - omegalul.
They say they “just suck at PvE”, sure buddy. Funny thing is, a good chunk of their army, even tho dominating the server, are imho just bad to average players. I remember when people were dueling one day out of town and so many yellows just got clappedin their insane Gear. I remember some Randy being like “meet me after war!!!” when I killed him - he then doesnt answer after war. So I call him out in Global and be like “come WW bro, you wanted to duel me” - never came, just talked smack to me the little pus
I also see them chasing Level 20 Chars as lvl 60 player and when I try to help the low lvls they just run away from a fair and square 1v1.
I guess its the same on your server or you are on my server hahah
Very wrong. Or is your server populated by like 100 people? If people give a slight shit about invasion they will be some kind of organized. We lose almost every invasion with just 1-3 minutes on the clock, just making calls here and there.
The PvP demographic is too small for a game to be developed for them or that style of gameplay. Even New World saw the metrics of PvP players in MMORPGs, noticed the Survival Genre shrinking a bit then panicked after Atlas blew up following the successes of Ark in 2014-2018.
yeah turns out your average video game enjoyer doesnt want to be stuck dealing with incels who play 18 hours a day because their whole self worth is tied up in a video game
thats why pve games like final fantasy and wow are such resounding success stories.
Well you can only fill 10 on the roster and are forced to kick 30 other dent heads who will occasionally actively sabotage your repair parts. But yes they must instead be bad at a 3 Button game.
I really dont know why there is so much hate between pve and pvp… i play both at the same time^^
Well usually invasions are filled with PVP’ers because PVP players are usually the ones who own territories and often putting at least 10 of their players into the roster and kicking out people they don’t know (the pve’rs usually). Meaning most invasions are probably being won by PVP players.
But sure, lets say for a second PVP players struggle more than PVE players. Why would this be the case? Because they aren’t geared for it.
If anything, the reason a PVP oriented player may lose invasions more frequently is because all their gear/loadouts are HEAVILY focused on PVP (resilience, refreshing, ability perks, etc) whereas a PVE player usually has the luxury to get corruption armor (dmg resistance and bonus dmg) instead and are free to stack medium/heavy armors and corruption trophies.
A PVP player (unless they’re VERY enggame and super-geared with a set for everything), then they likely will be 40% weaker than a PVE player who is equally geared out.
Simple.
Anyway… can this PVE vs PVP nonsense stop? It’s like the age-old console vs PC argument.
It’s silly.
(Coming from a PVPVE aka PVX player who does both)
Lol.
It seems you don´t have any clue about endgame optimization for pve/pvp XD
No need to be arrogant, instead just enlighten us all as to what you consider end-game.
As a healer, refreshing, resilient and specific ability perks for lifestaff (fortifying sacred ground) are usually the top picks. Theres other options for sure, but it’s what works best for me and a lot of top players on my server.
For invasions, you absolutely should consider using at least one of the corruption perks. It turns invasions into a joke. Definitely not mandatory, but makes it easier.
I’ve gotten to the last minute on my old server with everyone just using faction gear, no trophies and only half with potions/coatings.
yes, but at the same time, they have the easiest access to all resources in the game.
they have everfall/ww
they probably have guild crafters who can make anything
they get hundreds of thousand - millions a week
they can run treasure runs at will.
And they generally kick whoever they want.
for the big land owners, resources are not an issue, They lack interest, skill, or knowledge.
Meanwhile GW2 literally organize a full map of randoms with 5 commanders within a month. At the time, mostly without voice coms. FFxiv beats Eureka with much less forgiving mechanics within a few weeks.
regardless, it was probably a bad idea to put groups most interested in pvp and conflict in charge of organizing PVE content.
this doesnt mean no pvp group can/will do it, but they aren’t naturally going to have the interest to do it.
I´m not arrogant. I just don´t see your black-white listings. It´s not a PvE or a PvP only game, it´s a PvX game with a lot of synergy between different content. You need crafting, you need cities (+crafting stations), you need watermark for pvp or pve endgame gear. So most of this argumentation doesnt make any sense.
Invasion and war is the actual endgame in this game which means you bring all you got or you will lose for sure.
A lot of players don´t care about winning invasions, they just join for gold/azoth reward or just want to try out sth different for fun. Only a small percentage tries to play invasions competitive.
And i don´t get the hate. If you dislike pvp, then just don´t play it or better join another game. The PvE content isn´t that difficult, if you´re organized.
pvp cavemen are often the ones calling everyone “carebears” who dont want to play their little incel game where they have a massive gear and stat advantage because they play 16 hours a day.
if they were actually good, they wouldnt be on MMOs for pvp in the first place. theyd pick games where matches start on a level playing field. they dont want a level playing field though, since they cant perform.
its been like this all the way back to UO, when they launched trammel. PVP babies were mad that players wanted to just kill monsters, and the only ones left were other pvpers, and then they had to face the facts that they werent as good as they thought they were, when the better pvp players started crushing them, so they bemoaned origin because they couldnt gank people who were busy chopping logs and making furniture anymore, and started trying to punch down on other players of the game.
lots of bans were issues for foul language in the very early days of trammels launch, because the overgrown manchildren who ‘pvp’ couldnt handle the fact that no one wanted to be around a bunch of toxic babies.
So your conclusion is: you´v had some bad experiences in different games which follows to every pvp player is a non-skilled toxic no-lifer? (small hyperbel
)
If you´re playing New World PvP, you would see that there isn´t that “massive gear and stat advantage”. You get for example the faction 520er equip mixed with some drops with good perks. Then you could farm for voidbent, if you´re more heavy oder medium focused as advanced starter and still fill slots with better perks by drops/crafted/sold ones.
Later you find a nice crafter and get crafted best in slot armor with stat and one perk fixed.
Everyone can go this route and farming faction equip isn´t that hard. If you´re smart, you can do it by exping to lvl 60. Of course some players with 16h/day are faster, but that´s in every MMO. You still have the option to be unflagged.
On the other hand you should watch your own language a bit:
And on your part with:
It´s a reward/risk system. If you go farming with PvP flagged, you should expect enemies attacking you. And you still can go with mates, if you´re afraid of “gankers”. It´s still a MMO, y know.
True but only 1-2 guilds have those territories or resources. Have you seen any governor sharing that money evenly among their company members? No. If it does happen, it’s rare. Most governors keep it to themselves or among friends.
Other than that, we all have access to the same resources. If anything, it’s easier to obtain for people in PVE since there’s no PVP to worry about.
And yes people not interested in PVE won’t try in PVE which is why they (people who own a territory) can only choose 10 people.
But that doesn’t mean a PVP player is incapable of doing the same thing as a PVE player (like OP is implying). Just as a PVE player could do what a PVP player does.
There’s literally no difference between the two and many play both modes. This conflict is stupid
I know that. That’s literally what I was saying.
PVE/PVp players are no different and most players play both.
I craft, I gather, I farm dungeons, I play games and mess around with company members. I play OPR, join wars and open world PVP.
This whole PVP vs PVE player doesn’t make sense. Either one can do what the other does if they wanted to. I was just saying that people who do PVP only or PVE only are likely to have different gear unless the PVP player was PVE focused too. Gear designed for PVE/corruption is going to have an advantage over PVP gear in an invasion. That’s all I was saying.
Pro PVPers, in New World?
Unless you see someone with a throwing hatchet build who rocks at range.
There is no Pro PVPers, maybe the vast amount of GA/WH should kinda give you a indicator to that.
Also
Whats good in PVP isn’t necessarily good in PVE.
If everyone had Anti-corruption set build, invasions wouldn’t be a problem. But nobody wants Corrupted Bane perk now do they?
