I love doing elite chest runs in a video game all day.
Even the best MMOs are repetitive. It’s just the nature of the game, as a quest you can repeat fails to feel new after a while. The same is true of amazingly boring games like Assassian’s Creed, which is literally five different quests repeated over and over with slightly-different architecture.
The difference, really, is that you play MMOs with friends and with other boring cut-and paste games (I’m looking at you, Ubisoft), there’s very little to keep you engaged other than a vape pen or a really strong cocktail.
I keep saying, “that’s it, I’m going to stop playing this damn game,” and I never do because I have 100 fun people in my company, and we all have a good time together. That’s the magic of an MMO. Who gives a shit about the world? This is essentially a social chat room with a quasi-interesting world simulation attached, and I’m here for it.
for me its the immersion, the world is really beautiful.
game mechanics are okay nothing new or fancy so easy to learn.
i always enjoyed gathering and crafting so im all in for that.
I love to be in a world that not the real world.
so because no one has complained about it, it couldnt have happened? even though im reporting it happened? smdh.
Yes, that’s exactly it. Lol. I’m very active on the forums and especially since the first merge didn’t have free transfer tokens after or even paid transfer tokens, if this was something that happened to random people by bad luck then there definitely would’ve been an uproar on the forums. There would’ve been ragers from every corner vocalizing how trash AGS was.
Let’s Go Brandon!
How does merging of servers put you on different servers? It consolidates servers, not split them. And how did it wipe out your company?
Sorry but I’m just not buying it.
Cause i like the game. it’s much better than what it came with at launch, The game still needs a lot of new content, but ags are on the right track with brimstone sands
I play because I love how immersive the environment is and the fact the place feels real to me. I’m always feeling lost and in need of a map when I’m playing because the world absorbs you. I used to play WoW and I loved it, it was really easy to play without ever looking at the map because I had been everywhere and learnt the environments (with exception to Cataclysm and Pandaland, as I didn’t play them). I always feel as though I’m exploring and finding new things. I’m really enjoying the new Brimstone Sands environment but I do wish that you could scale surfaces that look like they can be scaled! Jumping up and not being able to climb onto a ledge that scrapes your belly is annoying! If we can’t climb something, make it look like we can’t climb it!
I haven’t joined a guild yet though, so I think that’s something that I’m going to do today or tomorrow. It’s the bit I love/hate the most. I love voice comms and getting to know and help people is a massive plus for me. Sadly the amount of people without “Press To Talk” on these days makes me want to give up gaming. Hearing people eat/cough/type/talk to people at home is annoying as hell and really breaks the immersion of games.
I’m looking forward to transmog and load outs as I think that this will really open the game up for a lot of people. I want to try different builds but the thought of trying to find my gear and respec always stops me. I’d rather level a new character than to piss about in the current iteration of bag space. FF14 had the perfect load out system, in my opinion. Let’s hope that it’s something like this! The transmog will be great, as I’d love to mix my gear and choose the colour. The ‘Skins” are great and all but, you can seldom mix those items about because of the colour of them. Being able to change the colour of items (skins as well) would open up new game play, should they allow skin colourisation of course. Let’s hope so! ![]()
I love the realistic weapons and armour and I’m hopeful that one day we’ll have realistic 2 handed weapon skins too. I just can’t play swinging a fridge on a stick, an ironing sword or that silly axe, it’s just to breaking for me. It’s a bit like watching a cartoon film like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, it should never have been done. Make a cartoon/animation or make a normal film. Mixing the extremes doesn’t work for me and it’s something that stops me from playing those weapons, which is a shame because the builds look fun but, walking around looking like Buckeroo is a “WTF” moment!!1
Because I intend to see it through.
I do enjoy the game, even with its faults & disappointments.
It has by far the best graphics.
I only paid 40€ once and there is no monthly subscription.
Endgame is lacking yes but you can’t really compare it to a game that has had 10 years to get better, like if this game went down the same road as FFXIV at launch then we wouldn’t have a game to play for almost a year, SE shut down FFXIV from Nov 12 to Aug 13.
I just wish the community could be more forgiving.
The only answer to “why” is going to because it is fun. Maybe this is more of a “what” kinda question instead.
My company mostly. We have become friends over time.
Really enjoy our discord and any ingame activity with them.
I play for the girls
I’ve sunk a bunch of time into this game over the past several years through alpha/beta testing, plus PTR and testing. I was also tracking bugs and releases on Trello boards for many months, so I was highly invested in the game’s success.
I enjoy the gameplay and visuals but now have less time to invest in some of the things above.
The true treasure is the friends you make along the way. ![]()
i really enjoy the pvp its the first mmo and the gameplay is very unique to me even still:)
This is gross
