It can’t be that doing zergs to kill 10vs1 gives you weapon mastery but going to arenas doesn’t, it doesn’t make sense if it gives you level experience but not weapons.
Because that would actively encourage people to enter fights they aren’t prepared for. Same reaason you don’t level up in OPR. I don’t want to be the guy that has to put up with a level 3 rapier on his team. I don’t think anyone does.
Arena no
Opr yes.
I would like for people to enjoy pvp and play various weapons
That already happens, there are people who enter the arena and do not have their weapons at the max, also I am not saying that it is an overwhelming exp but zero experience in an activity that is pvp? It doesn’t make sense to me.
This is why weapon level should be tied into your actual player level and not through individual grinds.
I’m not saying that no ones doing it but I would rather it weren’t encouraged. I’m there to win. I don’t need people passively griefing me and treating the arena like a weapon EXP grind. PVP is inherently competitive. I mean, there’s no need for me to have rapier to 20 as a healer. But did I hold off on arenas until I got rapier to 20 first? Absolutely. I want my team to win.
Showing up unprepared is simply griefing. Cannot be justified or spun any other way. Same goes to people who don’t bring any food, honing stones or consumables despite it all being free. Yeah, I’ve been witness to that in my 700+ arena wins. Or how about people who turn up with 0 resilience and 50-100 CON? They literally die in two hits. Point is, match quality can be poor at times. Let’s not take measures that would make it worse.
I don’t think arenas are competitive in their current state, and with the post I just wanted to address a basic feature, beyond matchmaking level (devs should take care of that) that they give some sort of weapon exp might as well do the more crowded arenas, since the arenas have little public per se, I don’t understand how it benefits us that there are fewer players.
I don’t have that many games played in arena, but I do have experience in competitive games and I don’t think these arenas fall into that category.
If you have a level 13 main hand in an arena you have no business being in that arena. Go level up your weapons. Get some decent gear. Stop ruining other people’s fun. This is not your weapon EXP farm. Come prepared or don’t queue at all.
It must be that my English is not perfect, but you are assuming things and implying things that I never said, I did not say that the arenas are for what you mention, but you do expect that everyone who enters the arena has perfect equipment and mastery so you can only make arenas at level 60, and that still doesn’t solve the problem you mention since there is the skill level, and for that there are different matchmaking systems that can be applied as a solution.
Talking to you it’s a bit clear to me why the queues for PvP activities are so long.
I don’t care if the queues are longer if it means I don’t have to deal with people like you ruining my fun so you can level up your weapons. Go PVE if you want that.
