I wish normal people could get a contract with endless holiday days too. They already took 30+ days just for Thanksgiving and the turn of the year. Thats more than anyone else gets for the full year.

Since the 1st was a saturday, many, many places gave the 3rd off. It happens that way with holidays often. I guess while you were off work, you sat around thinking about how to fix all your problems at work, then fixed them all on monday. Most people donāt function that way, but good for you.

Well because Christmas was almost 2 weeks ago and then the new year. Not everyone can take the same time off. Usually around this time companies work at a reduced capacity.
