Why I dont play the Game right now -> What will it need to come back:

So I thought long about Posting this, but I still want this game to be successfull so I hope this Feedback will lead to something:

I stopped playing much 3-4 months ago, now i just check in after a Update for like 2-3 Hours and leave again. I was nearly BIS back then did a lot of PVP/Wars/Expeditions etc. Do have a couple hundred hours and spend a lot of those hours within 2 months… So nobody who is half assing a Game…

1. In Game Progress:
I just did not had the feeling of any Progress anymore. I mean ya i could go for more Mutations but for what? Some Umbral Shards i don´t need? I could farm all kind ofstuff but also for what I did what i wanted and needed and did not want to have every tradeskill? Gathering gold? I just sold my CDs and made a ton of gold from it day by day back then… was close to Goldcap and did not needed it. So first Point, I just lost the fun because of Lack of Progress for me. I started then to get more gear for my second and third build which was good but i mean…

2. Lack of Activities:
I just spammed Expeditions and OPR all day when i was online - then some Wars but the frequency on my server was not that high so I attend like 1 War a Day which is a Lot for some People… The Rest for me was done, dont needed any Expertise or Gear to Farm so I did not needed the hustle anymore. I mean I had a lot of fun in OPR and the Expeditions but it was so repetitiv that I lost the interest here… Even tho a new Expedition came out I did not wanted to run it first.

3. The Grind
I think a lot of People complain about the Grind of Expertise or Gear for me it was actually fun in the first months. I spend so much time with my Company to run Dungeons, Chestruns etc. so i was at 600 after nearly a Week and it felt awesome - i mean when i hit 600 with my mainweapon i felt the difference in OPR and it was so good to feel the Progress. For me that was actually better than the leveling from 1-60… What i am Missing now is any kind of grind which makes sense for me after having everything up…

To be honest the Game is in a state where i am near to return… I still just miss a few things to start grind again:

PVP:

  • Add Ranked & Leaderboard → I like the Overwatch way of Ranked… Give something similar to us. Add ranks and Add top 500 List. Once Top 500 you should receive a Title :slight_smile:
  • Arena
    ** Add 2v2
    ** Add 5v5
  • OPR
    ** Add OPR Maps
    ** Add other Modes
    *** Capture the Flag,
    *** Attack a Fort?!
    *** Battle Royal :smiley: usually I don´t like battle Royal but i think it would be cool to get on a map and fight like 25 / 50 People…

New Chapter:

  • Release the new Zone with the following additions:
    ** New Dungeons → I would wait longer but get a bigger release…
    ** New Tradeskill cap at 250 → new Receipts new materials to gather etc.
    ** New Expertice cap at whatever makes sense-> Baseline should be for everybody 600 you need to farm again I also think for this the Scaling needs to be reworked… I think its to hard. A 550 GS player vs 600 or 625 should still be able do do something… i mean yes its ok to have an advantage as the 625 but i think the gap is to big…
    ** Add POI to all zones for pvp, remove the pvp Quests and add a System where holding those POI will gain Points to start a war. A company should gain the Points not the Faction itself. So nobody needs 50 man run the same round for hours… and you actually can fight for points.

War Preperation:
I think one thing which held my enjoyment of wars back is the way wars are executed… you doing quests for hours getting the points in set a war date and wait… I think what a good feature would be is War Preperation. Add an War PrepMode which is just available for the time the War is declared. This mode should have different Stages and can be done more often.
Some Modes could be:

  1. Gather Material → Should be an OPR where you join a Map have two small Camps near the Fort and you gather Material you need for the war… Like food, wood, iron, etc. The Team who Gathered enough wins… you can steal from other camp…
  2. Set up A Camp: → Escort a Cart to a Spot where you build the War tent…
    … Both Companies should be able to get to the Maximum if they perform in those Preperation modes.

What needs to be added to the Roadmap:

  • Add a System that a Company go “Rogue” to attack a Company of his own Faction. If they go Rogue everybody of the Faction can attack the Company in the Zone they startet it.

For me it was the lack of PVP balance when I first quit, now I’m back half a year later only to see Life Staff being OP as it always has been.

Devs really need to get a grip and balance all weapons, especially Healing in PVP.

Several of your suggestions are on my Miro board & the accompanying Expansion post and echo similar sentiments from other players.

Hopeful that AGS will take player feedback seriously and do something with it.

Still waiting to hear about the dungeon change.

In arena, OPR, wars, etc there should be some kind of ranking per weapon maybe, where it shows kills, damage, assists, heals, etc. So you can compare yourself with the rest of the people who use the same weapon and in the general ranking as well. You may be number 1 with the hatchet, but with lance you are number 500 in the ranking, it is just an example.

I agree with a lot of this, but a lot of it is already coming anyway, for example leaderboards. Theyre on the official roadmap. Same for a new dungeon.

Honestly, all damage and healing should be public. If anything for devs to balance easier. If bows are pulling 1.5mil every OPR, but musket is only pulling 500-750k then there’s obviously an imbalance. If hatchet is pulling 750k and great axe is pulling 1.5mil there’s obviously an imbalance. No, I am not saying these weapons are pulling that dmg, im simply using it as an example.

Sure, and that same system would serve to see that. Because if you see in the ranking only GA in the first places of damage and kills, something is not right. But putting in a system that only shows kills/damage per player and not per weapon wouldn’t help much.

For me is the queue in Devaloka. Starting from 4PM to 2AM.

Bad decision to merge servers a few days before the biggest New World update.
I can’t get into the game due to the huge queues that exceed 900 players waiting. I can’t enjoy what the game has to offer. The event is going to end and I’m just not going to get what I had planned.
