I have never once said, “gee, I wish I had more mana!” while playing Fire Staff. The int dodge roll and “flare” talent are literally all you need for mana management on the Fire Staff. Not to mention popping regen pots which is pretty normal in most situations.
What a waste of so many passives and an armor perk.
idk, seems like someone want destroy fire mages at all. Less class to balance.
See also new items dropping in brimstone sands : all items are good only for melee classes (ring, weapons etc). For mage there is mana regen ring. Great.
All i seem to get for drops is fire staffs with +30 focus or dexterity or strength. There is no use for that unless you just want to look like a spell sword but wreck people as a melee user.
Id be perfectly fine with them increasing mana costs for spells, as long as they made mana regen actually
work at the same time.
Having “ults” tied to passive mana regen is laughable as well.
Honestly runes of helios isnt that much better, forcing somebody to stay relatively still to use the benefit that dies in 2-3 hits and can literally never stand still with a player within a certain distance.
In most every MMO mages are able to control their surrounders and deal high impact damage. They are generally countered by archer classes. In New World, we are countered by bow/musket but can’t control our surroundings and can easily have our gap closed and are forced to play mid/close range with our abilities. It’s really backwards.
fire mage has a dash ability but ice gauntlet has some very questionably effective slow abilities and push back options that really dont work that well.
Thats why FS have to be reverted or deleted. There is no other option.
In current state, soon noone will play FS, only few masochists or someone who don`t care about pvp.
