Why is everything TRIPLE Time-gated?

Lets say I log on and get 3 diamond Gypsum, and for some reason dont go/find a crafting station to make the Gypsum for it. No problem, I log on the next day and get 3 more. I go to craft and oh, I can only make one. Why? Every other day I wanna log on I can get 3 more. It’s literally useless now.

Lets say I forgot to get all 3 and only get 2, I can’t get more than 3 per day. Those 2 are wasted also.

What If I wanna power level just the helmet? I can’t. Why? If i can level 5 different armour, or one armour 5 times I’m still getting stronger the same amount.

3x Timegate makes 0 sense. Either let me farm orbs all day but only let me make one per day.
Let me put all my orbs into just my helmet or just my bow. What if i don’t need anything else?
Just time-gating one thing restricts all of these things without screwing over those who dont get chance to farm an entire gypsum worth of mats. (example today my 1 potion i can make only gave me 8 topaz. Literally useless if I end up getting 10 tomorrow.)

Just doesn’t seem logical. I dont think much forward thought went into this system honestly. The only one that sorta makes sense is the Power-levelling one expertise. But i still dont agree with it.

Yeah good post. I just hit 60 and now that nothing over 500 has been dropping for me and can solo silver/ 61 mobs, looked into gypsum to increase and if I want to do the stuff I like with the time gates, going to take 60-90 days just doing the stuff I like to increase expertise

Agreed, if you can only get “X” amount of Gypsum a day (I.e. 2 from OPR) and those mats are BOP why does it matter how many orbs you craft at one time? Maybe I want to save up a weeks worth before going to the kiln. I also don’t get why you can’t just dump your orbs into whatever cast your focusing on. If I want to switch weapons why do I have to wait 20+ days to get that new weapon to max expertise?

Completely agree. Makes no sense to me either. For an mmo this game really seems to have much more in common with the frustration tactics of a despicable mobile “free to play” than I would like to see.

I will say that the current system wouldn’t be so bad if there was a kiln at every settlement. Then it would be easy enough to craft the orbs every day. The main problem here is if your off doing crafting/gathering, you don’t want to be forced to blow azoth just to travel to an end game zone for a 2 min task.

Everything is timegated, so people need to log in the next day to get their stuff done.

  • Want to craft some Ebony Scale? Come back tomorrow.
  • Want to increase Expertise via Gypsum? Come back tomorrow.
  • Want to have some freebies from the store? Come back the day after tomorrow.
  • Want winter event stuff? Come back tomorrow.

Everything they do is to

  1. make the player get used to logging in daily, so they get more invested with the game
  2. use these mechanics to pimp their concurrent user statistics

Somebody at AGS played too many mobile games.
