You’ve been dodging this for hours, but please share ONE instance of any of those weapons you mentioned dealing 3mil damage in an OPR.

i play mage from time to time. i get top 5 in wars EASY with complete garbage gear + never really playing it. that tells you everything you need to know.
are you saying fire staff isnt the most easiest weapon to use?
I kind of see your point considering there are no classes are true fire specs in this game like there is in some other mmos with fire, but fire usually does not have utility, fire is usually full on dps/damage over time dps in rpgs and mmorpgs. I think its just a fantasy mentality think if that makes sense.
Personally I think they should take some concepts from other games like the power of smoke being able to choke enemies with the flames for some cc.
I know, and I think that originally firestaff was supposed to be the king of raw damage and DoT’s. But that simply isnt the case at all.
Firestaff has some decent enough damage but it is nowhere near the king. BB, Bow, Spear, warhammer, musket. All have a much higher hard-hitting damage output then the firestaff. And also much more consistent.
Bows and spears are also the king of dot damage and in this category too, the firestaff falls very short. Dealing very weak dot damage. Still less than 100 pr tick on full stack.
I think in the old version of the game the firestaff was intended to be something raw and powerfull but now its kind of a wet dud with some situational burst potential and very little utility… I am okay with the dmg the firestaff deals now but it needs more utility to be in line with every other weapon in the game.
Right that was my point, but who knows maybe they have other plans.
I honestly dont think the devs have any plans. I dont believe the lead combet designer has much clue at all about PvP games in general and probably has extremely little experience playing actual pvp games himself.
It seems like they’re kinda just winging it and making some adjustements here and there and looking at analytics for feedback and continuing to make adjustements.

I hope for good news. I like the firestaff as a weapon but I wish it wasnt such a black sheep in the weapons family
There is a typo in the description for Incinerate “pushes back” is suppose to be “gently nudges while not canceling anything cause of hurt feelings” but even then the weird radius on it misses most of the time and it’s cast animation is a death sentence usually. Imagine how hard melee would cry if fireballs could knock them down or stun them for 3 seconds on direct hit or if flamethrower had knockback effect, or pillar of fire knocked players down and make all of your buttons including potions not react for 3 seconds…
hahah. I want fireball to have stagger. Pillar should knock people up into the air. Flamethrower applies a slow.

I love my FS/BB build, but in PvE & PvP it just doesn’t fill right.

Okay let me re-phrase it then. When ags fixes the exploit that lets you stack empower with meteor shower. Then the FS will no longer deal 3 mill damage… In its normal functioning no exploited state. The fs doesnt deal 3 mill dmg in an average opr match.

Why is flamethrower invisible? Why does it not have a CD or use mana? Why does mana not matter at all as a resource?
What do you mean, you don’t see all the noobs on the forums asking for Firestaff flamethrower to be nerfed?? The problem with Firestaff is noobs constantly cry about it on the forums so it can never be in a place where it is used in top level wars. You still see noobs asking for ridiculous things like cooldown on flamethrower when they have never played the weapon or have any sort of implication of what that means.
It doesn’t have a CD because it can be stopped by any ability including scream. What kind of question is that?
