Why is the game crashing and freezing? And before you suggest anything I’ve already gone and uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it started up fine but went right back to crashing and freezing.

Be sure to have your game logs ready in case they ask for them:

Provide 3 logs from: Users\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups

DxDiag report:
Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
Click on dxdiag.exe.
When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.
Also have the same issues. I just get stuck on the loading screen when opening new world . If it actually loads, I can play for like 20 mins before the game freezes and crashes back to desktop. I have gotten the easy cheat error a few times when this happens and then steam won’t recognize any installed games on my harddrive.
Mine has been crashing in Rothsoard Cave. Anywhere else the game is fine.

Hope you both are doing well. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I would request you to please try the below troubleshooting steps & see if the issue gets resolved.
- Check for pending BIOS updates.
- Verify that the drivers are correct and up to date: New World Compatible GPU Driver Update - Support
- Run a file check: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files
- Check the EAC: Locate the game directory, and then select the “EasyAntiCheat” subfolder. Click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe to run the installer as an administrator, fix it if necessary.
Note: The Steam Games installation directory will generally be in: C:\Program Files\ Steam (x86)\ SteamApps\ Common - Avoid using VPN, and you should remove other programs such as bots to mine or fish or to avoid being AFK. (if installed for any reason) Even overlays to get unofficial maps for the game.
- Check out https://www.amazongames.com/en-us/support/new-world/articles/new-world-system-requirements it is very important that you are using Windows 10, because for 11, New World is not yet optimized.
- You can try lowering the resolution in the settings.
- If running Discord, run Discord As Administrator as well.
After all steps above: - Shut down the computer completely. Turn it on, then run the Steam client as administrator, and try the game again.
Also please try these:
- Restart your router and modem
- Switch to a wired connection
- Troubleshoot your firewall
- Forward ports on your router

So I resolved my issue. Turned out to be my Samsung m.2 that I was using for games. I installed new world on my main C drive and it works fine now

So oddly enough on that harddrive none of games on steam actually worked. So I thought the harddrive was bad. I ended up wiping all steam files manually from the harddrive and then redownloading all the games and now everything works
