Why is NW progressively getting slower?

I have a good system. It’s not high-end but should be robust enough for adequate play.

CPU: i9-9900
GFX: NVidia 2060
RAM: 16gb

When I played in closed beta, my gfx settings visuals were set to High/Very High presets (I fluctuated between the 2 to test my system’s capabilities). I would routinely get between 19-35 fps depending on my activities.

When the game released in late September, I set my gfx visuals at the High preset, and off I went to play. My fps remained at what I experienced during Beta.

Over the past few weeks though, as I progressed (now level 55) the game’s performance slowly got worse and worse. I’ve reacted by lowering settings to the point where I’m now at the LOW preset (everything is set to Low) and I’m only getting 7-12 fps even at this setting. The game is currently really unplayable to me (constant stuttering, frame skipping, freeze-ups, etc).

Why is it that this is progressively (over the past 3-4 weeks) gotten worse? Even though my PC hardware has remained the same?

Welcome to the forum @rylandir

Sorry about the inconvenience you are facing with this low performance/low fps issue with the game while playing.
I can see you were also mentioning that even though when you tested on very high at beta it was still the same, but now is dropping.

My recommendation will be to try to set off the V-Sync, here is the link just in case that you need it.
