Why is there a 1 hour lockout from OPR?

For the 4th time this week, I’ve been given a 1 hour lockout from playing OPR due to various bugs forcing me to restart New World.

3 of the 4 occasions I was faced with extreme death screen lag, resulting in 1 frame per ~10 seconds. It took 1-2 minutes for the 5 seconds to count down before I could even click respawn.

The last time I was given a “Lumberyard Function Call Error”.

Each time takes me 1-2 minutes to get back into the game, by which time I have been kicked. This feels absolutely terrible as a returning player to be punished every time the game bugs out. 4th time now this week I’ve had to stop playing due to these bugs resulting in me getting an OPR lockout.

I agree with everything this man said, when i get a crash during OPR i just close the game and go do something else because its IMPOSSIBLE to open the game and return to the OPR in time, you will get kicked out 90% of the time, even with SSD wathever…
AGS you have 2 solutions, either reduce the time to load the game or increase the amound of time you have to go back to the OPR without being kicked.

Friend of mine experienced lag detected which is back and very frequently since last update in opr and 2 times he stoped for the day. There new players who post in game support about lag detected and getting thrown out of the game. I feel sorry for all the new people who bug the game and can’t play + never been through all the crap so no build in mental resistance yet :joy: they probably just give up

I got stuck in an ice tomb animation yesterday, couldnt move or use abilities, unstuck didnt work. Was close to the end of the game but the afk timer won :smiley: no point in relogging due to queues.

It is annoying, but tbh, without something painful for leaving, there is so much salt in opr that people would be quitting 5 mins into the match if the other team was ahead by 10 points.

This needs to be a priority. With server instability and bugs this whole 1 disconnect and your on timeout is absolutely silly.

A good temporary fix would make it so you have longer before getting kicked from a match and give you the 3 strike rule before putting you on lockout.

Yesterday I waited in the queue for about 20 min , then I turned on OPR and the game threw an error which is already reported here and I got banned from OPR for an hour ? and this happens to everyone and several times a day, their servers are full even though no one asked for a merge and again they can’t handle it and the game is full of bugs, not to mention their strong optimization !

They really should look into this issue. There are so many problems with the latest patch i.e. Lag Detected, extreme Death lag, random client closes etc. then when you finally get through the queue back in the game, you’re banned for 1+ hours. Not fun at all.

I just have to lol at the “lag detected” notification.

Never in the history of Aeterneum has it informed a player of something they weren’t already painfully aware of.
