Poor kid. Can’t stand rich people cuz lack of brains and wants us to pay more taxes in game (like this will change anything, lol). I’m sorry to say that, but in real world rich people don’t pay taxes at all. And not because they are scumbags but because they use their brains to do it legit.

Most players rely on gold that is generated by taxes to trickle down via trading post. If the ruling company in major hubs and top tier crafters hoard gold, the cycle will be interrupted.

Kinda sounds like he’s from one of those companies taking advantage of AGS’s extremely BAD design of allowing one to two territories own the entire economy with over 500k a week going through them and no where to stash it but in their member’s pockets.
They really really really need to stop letting Everfall and Windsward make all the money on the server.
Just spend the coin, invest in items which are relatively stable in price and will likely remain stable in price for a longer period of time.
I am also near close to coin cap. I have 465k at the moment if I would count all my sets for every class, trophies, materials like asmodeum, pheonixes. it will be something around 1,2kk. I agree that 500k gold cap is to low now.

I don’t think you are the one to tell him what to do with his money, he earned it after all, not created it with a bug/exploit.
I also hope you do realize that the economy is not only a couple of ruling companies owning EF/WW and a couple of individuals making fat profits by simply ‘E’-ing trading post. Economy as a whole is a huge ecosystem including each and every player on a server.
Are you that stupid to think this guy is making gold from thin air (well, its a game but still) or what? Or you don’t know how profits work? Or you don’t know that money is circulating each and every second within this system? I don’t know if its a secret for you or not but to earn money you need to invest money. And guess what, by investing money you are returning them back into economy, into this system, which is also being replenished by a lot by the majority of peasants farming raw gold.
So please, until you understand the subject, don’t come up with such a pitiful opinion.

Why do you keep hoarding money? Makes no sense to support that. A player driven economy lives from flowing money.
You can easy dominate markets and make prices. The limit is there to safe us from ppl like you.
If you monopolize stuff, the server economy gets a huge problem.

To everyone attacking the OP for having this sort of coin, it really isn’t that hard to acquire wealth in NW and hitting the 500K cap is not at all surprising, especially once you have the items you require for your day to day.
The profits from owning WW/EF on a high population server weekly would fill 3 characters from 0 coin to capped coin.
A string of good crafts could net you 100-200k in a single day. It’s RNG but if you can afford to buy up the market of 24HR CDs you can make some crazy good profits.
I’ve easily had 800k or so in coin since I started playing and now that I have all my major trophies that coin is just sitting and collecting for me as well. I don’t have any one big thing I need to spend on anymore and even just relaxing each week and doing my own 24HR cd’s I can roll the dice at a couple 100k+ crafts weekly for free.
I don’t think raising the players gold cap fixes the issue much, but coin is starting to stockpile for lots of people at alarming rates, because so much free coin is being injected into the game via housing taxes.

On the contrary, if there is a cap of money and almost reach it. People will be no choice to purchase items to store or monopolize stuff. If there were no cap, hoarding money will not force to monopolize stuff.

With the changes to mutations and the possible new sets of resist gear, now is a very bad time to be spending. Everyone is stockpiling waiting for the PTR to come to the live servers to figure out what they need and go on a mass crafting spree then.
I personally am sitting 250k coin and 595-600 Arcana/Armor. Buying everyone I can 24HR CD’s just to horde. When the time comes, go on a huge crafting spree, hope for 600GS legendaries to either use or sell to people who will be forced to upgrade from that “599 GARBAGE” that they currently have on lol
