True, but it seems like itd be pretty easy to exploit. Players as a company all typically have the same goals, being a strong company bond/ skill wise, and owning a major territory, you would 100% have players all turning against the company in charge of a big 3 territory. Not really sure how u would regulate such a system
Its great, been waiting for merges. It makes me happy
Map in New World is way too small for that to work dude. Less and less people will participate in wars if more and more merges come to pass. Plus cross play would make sense for every instanced activity except wars due to how low population is. It just makes sense.
This is not the way. Do you participate in wars? What % of the player base do you think would be able to on a mega server actively?
Consolidating prevents war access, it doesnt increase it, except for players on dead servers.
but half the fun in OPR and arenas is fighting people u like… or dislike
Is it? Personally idgaf
I think war needs to be reworked, imagine if war was split into three different phases on different days instead of 30 minutes of who can zerg the hardest and time their CDs. itd also be cool if the made it company v company and locked company hopping once war is declared
Please read my post carefully. That’s why I said that with time, the map will become bigger. You guys need to be more patient. That’s why introducing, wasting money, resoruces, energy and money for cross-server system is not worth it IMO. It’s better to focus on “end-game” solutions, than half measures
The problem is cross server should have been there from the start
Are you for real?
They need to find ways for more of a servers population to voluntarily participate in wars.
Even war streamer yaboyWilly is advocating for instanced war queue’s on demand for players to hop into when they have time. Its nice to hear.
Wars atm are way way too familial and gatekept by a tiny portion of company leads who get to determine who gets entrance.
Its not based on skill for most, its based on who they know. I’ve lost interest in having to network like its a darn job fair just to get a war slot. I have my war resume built up and pass out screenshots of tons of my warring history like a resume of my credentials. Its a ridiculous system.
New and returning players won’t enjoy it.
That’s correct. It should have been since begining.
But mistake is already done. That’s why I think, even if it is harder and mroe annyoing and less comfortable for us, we should focus on better solutions in long-term-run
The same problems with shell companies will carry over to any map expansion. Growing the map by one zone per year doesnt fix the issue and the game will be dead long before.
Patience isnt the problem, its lack of urgency from the dev side to correct core gameplay loop and system failures.
I agree, it is a cool kids club first, skill game second, I think practice war game modes would be awesome, I think however shell companies are the base of the problem as it makes it harder for newer companies to get a declare out. I think the company with the declare should have full control of who get in, for obvious reasons. Its YOUR war, you choose the comp, the players, and thus you can actually strategize and have proper groups, instead of hoping you get 2 bruisers in a group but end up with 4 healers and a dex.
Patient? For how long, one more year, 2 perhaps?
Its been a year since the release and we are still waiting for the new region to be added. Little to no actual new content has been added to the game, mostly c/p and quality of life changes.
I’ve read your post carefully and I just disagree. Long term solution is not a way to go if your game is dying.
If you cant grasp that then I’m sorry, but do not insult me saying I am lacking in reading comprehension just because you refuse to fully acknowledge current circumstances.
Server megre is just a lazy cop-out from more pressing issues.
The lack of urgency is the big problem - feels like its too slow yeah i am aware of how game development goes and the problems of shifting a project mid/late development and scope creep but idk others that saved their reputations did it at a cost to themselves for the short term → i dont see the devs doing anything to even acknowledge the problems of the game.
Fair argument. I do think the solution may be as BDLG has suggested on his stream is to move away from company ownership of zones. Make it faction based only or remove it alltogether. And introduce war queue’s on demand like OPR groups can queue up together for.
Yea, but I think most of You still forget about all problems we had in the past, and where the game is now. And there is nowhere written that the new map expansion will be done every year. Maybe it will be every 3 months since this FIRST new land release?
you guys did not even wait till that
Very unrealistic.
Maybe. It has been a year. There has been no mention or roadmap suggesting a ramped timeline of map expansion and territory control to fight over.
Brimstone Sands has been datamined for a very long time but no other zone afaik.
We have to be realistic and base the games future based on its trajectory of development that we’ve seen. Anything above that is welcome but hard to give any credit to as the devs have released a roadmap and hold monthly dev streams without any mention of an escalated release time line upcoming.
