Why New World taking 80%++ CPU Usage?

Im on Cutlass keys where not many people arround i still manage to get 80% CPU Usage.
I already lower my resolution from 1080p into 1440x900. All setting were low
Sound Quality already on 50

Specs : Intel i5-7600K
GPU : Seahawk 1070Ti

When im doing OPR or war the lag is unbearable ! It always 100% CPU usage on OPR or war !
How to fix this problem?

MMORPGs are usually cpu heavy, and you my friend, doesn’t have really powerful cpu, neither gpu

That CPU is quite bad, you can’t expect much from a 4c/4t cpu nowadays

old cpu and gpu what u expect bro

get at least i7 gen 10 + 8gb vram

This game doesn’t need a high end pc to perform well. There are people who have serious performance problems even though they have high end pc .It’s all about bad optimization

my old pc was a 1080 and i7 6700k, so very similar to your config

if not already done and you have a motherboard that’s good for it, you can try to overcklock your cpu, but i guess that could improve performance, but it’s not going to be “lifechanging”

else, optimizing stuff in your pc etc could help

i wasted many hours, trying to improve my pc’s performance for new world.
in the end the only thing that really makes a noticable difference is getting a new pc

i7 13700k, that beast goes nowhere near 100% and with my new 3080 i can enjoy 100 fps in high settings in most towns and even fluid opr/war

well i could, if the state of the game wouldn’t be so bad atm, but that’s a different topic ^^

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

  • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
  • Click on dxdiag.exe.
  • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

  • Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\
