Why no limit for attributes points? (A potential solution for ranged weapons being too strong now)

No, you’d still die long before you got to close the game. Muskets can shoot you across the map due to hitscan and their range. Wouldn’t matter if your capped at 380 dex or 500 dex. They shoot you one more time and your still dead.

Agree with the OP, stacking damage on something that already has such a massive advantage with range is crazy.

Although the musket can circumvent the diminishing returns with splitting int and dex and using Gems ect. So capping a stat would push the musket into being even more desirable as THE ranged weapon to pick.

Mortal empowerment is the reason the musket hits excessively hard.

The bow hits 30% harder than the musket baseline.

The “balance” of the game was intended to use 300 stats, which was the maximum you could get in the beginning. Now we can exceed 500 stats and every day they increase more. What you need to do is change how stats work or lower the damage you gain per stat.

  • only ranged players use that ! Ive never seen anyone putting over 300 stat on attributes other than ranged players (bow / musket)
    So why make something ingame that can benefit a certain players while it was meant to be balance for all people

There are many builds that put 300 or more points into just 1 stat, not just muskets. The muskets of this take an extra advantage because of the long range they can have and stay away from danger. Musket is usually build for 300 dex and 200-150 int.

So name one build that go over 300 other than ranged ?
Even in mutation people usually go split stats with str and dex

Life staff is not a damage weapon btw like bow and muskets … But doest really need over 300 too

It depends on the combination of weapons you use more than anything. When they have only one stat in common, they generally hit 315-316 on that stat on GS625.

The issue is the amount of stat points available, not whether they pass the 300 barrier or not.

But devs need to see things like this not just adding more dmg perks to the game and making builds more op

If they reduced the damage per stats by half or by 40%, there would be plenty of content and difficulty in PvE and a much more balanced PvP in every way. Today a PvP can last a few seconds because of how the game is.

it would weapons a lot easier to balance that for sure then they wouldn’t have to take that into account when they are buffing or nerfing weapons it basically be flat damage for every weapon weapons’ and then what ever DM modifiers they have procked on the weapons then so it would be easier to actually see what they can hit for instead of them making an assumption that they are just going to be 300 dex and 200 con or because we all know almost no one stops at 300 of 1 attribute unless you a hammer or a healer which are the only two classes that can run that and have insane damage war hammer mostly

Yeah same point
Make a limit to attribute like lower limit 300 - 350
And add more dmg perk to game
It will just be gear and skills and weapons diff
Not tricks on stats like 500 dex and 50 con and no matter what anyone say … A bow with 500 dex hit harder then a bow with 300

You don’t get much out of putting more than 300 points in the same stats, for example a spear does more damage combining points in dex and str than the 300 points in dex. Exceeding 300 points in some stats is simply a loss of points.

I see but i was watching a streamer named ARROWLI and he got a good bow with attunement and vorpal
And he went all dex and 5 con
The damage was insane
He said he wont change back to normal stats
Hes now still using same stat on stream

  • and u are right too, its coz we have lot of points, we can go low con and split rest on other stat… A similiar issue .

It’s that weapons that use a single stat tend to go over 300 of that stat to increase the damage. And as I told you, the ranged are the ones that get the most out of putting all the points in damage and not spending in constitution.

Yeah so im right a limit to stats is a direct fix for ranged …

You will limit only the bow and magic weapons along with some melee, the musket will remain exactly the same because it does damage per dex and int.

It’s not that “they don’t need it,” muskets are forced to do it.

If you go more than 50 con, your damage is laughable.

Also, the limit, for attribute points, is 515 (i think, can’t think of exact number atm) lol
