If you are a mage its hard to play mutation
The problem is a melee weapon do more dps then every mage weapon especially hatchet even in genesis firestaff do 30% more dmg to angry earth but the hatchet can do more
The solitions in my opinion is instead to give harvesting speed and 1 azoth chance for harvesting every 50 point in intelligence change it to 10% dmg to angry earth or ward

The real issue is that most enemies have resistance to mage weapons. This is why they do less damage and why less people play mage. They say they are removing the resistance in a future update so people can play mage and not be penalized.
Even in genesis people prefer hatchet instead of firestaff
Resistance + hatchet do more damage and has immortal. Change to hatchet whats the problem xd

Hatchet + Spear do much more in Genesis. Hatchet called Eden is OP for it ![]()
Who cares. People should be able to play the weapons they want and not get a resistance penalty. There will always be a weapon that does more as itâs nearly impossible to have perfect balance of all weapons.

You can play whatever you want same like people can refuse to play with you if you dont play with gear which they want. But we are lucky you can swap class any time in this game so why not ?

Itâs just game balance. Hatchet wins everywhere. In PvP and all PvE content. Itâs so overtuned most runs are hatchet only. Itâs annoying to have one weapon be in such a demand due to itâs sole effectiveness. Canât even blame the people for that. But itâs good to point it out so try to find some solutions to that

The devs are thankfully changing that but toxic people will still demand you play their exact way because itâs the internet.

There is always going to be a âbest kitâ to use for varying dungeons. Itâs up to you to use it or use what you got. The community isnât going to condone making mutations/dungeons easier because you donât want to use what is considered BiS. NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE TOP TIER.
