Good thing to remember is that hard performance issues (desyncs/laggs) comes mostly during Wars and OPR and not that much on PvE openworld or into 5 players donjons.
So i dont know guys if you experience a 50v50 wars but it doesnt look that great honestly,
Devs and community managers also agreed and comunicated that they are aware of these performance issues and are working on many fixes but they dont know when it will be ready to launch, we dont even know if it would be fixed fully one day so…
if you wanna go deeper, there is something about 5000k videos on YT linked to this topic unfortunately
If I had a choice of being a vegetable from my garden, I reckon I would prefer to be a cucumber or something of the green variety - so definitely not a potato buttercup.
You have 35fps in wars due to number of people on your screen and all the animations going off that literally has nothing to do with games engine and its performance, all mmos with large scale battles and high quality gfx do the same thing,
Your pc is relying on recieving data of 49 other people geographically placed all around, whilst going through amazon servers, if youve been playing games for longer than a month you’d know this has been always the way since days of Archlord, conan, Aion etc,
Even eso which has been around years still suffers same issues in cryodil
The effects are not the issue here, or the graphical texture or 3D model demand.
It’s lights, shaders and networking, AGS should make it so that you don’t see then unless necessary. In gerneral the AoE Effects in this game are very much not useful, you don’t know who’s void or heal area is there.
Battlefield had the worst launch ever, gfx wise and bugs so thats not really a comparison, and your literally comparing 1st person shooters to mmo and at no point do you have same concentration of people all located at same spot at same time, and all dofferent particles and animation going off,
As ive already stated most issues of fps arise when large scale going on in front of you, (control points etc),
Show me an mmo with large scale battles that doesnt have fps drops, even gw2 can be added to that previous list,
I was under the impression we were talking about a conceration of players and effects that would alter game performance but as usual people like you shift the goal post to ONLY LIST MMOS.
Considering this whole thread was about performance in this game, and everything I’ve referenced was to do with mmo, you sire where the one who changed goal posts about talking about first person shooters, and you also refrenced one that literally never has the same concentration on people in one cluster, isnt battlefield maps like 5 times bigger, horizontal and vertically
