I have to agree with @Skillo, nobody asked for “this”. While you are spot on with the lack of content, @Butterstuffs, it’s the game director that thought shortcuts were the way to go; to add tiers of GS grind in an effort to make it seem like there was more endgame. That’s not what this mythical %1 asked for though, but rather what the leads thought could be delivered in an efort to stop the bleeding. The proof? This IS what we have and people are still leaving…so, no, not what people asked for 1% or 99%.
I think that blaming other players for making requests is not useful. Granted, it takes some pressure off of the group that deserves the blame, and for that they must be grateful. However, it’s a bit silly. No group of players have had that kind of influence. None. AGS leadership is the actual group you need to look to for the design and updates.
To be honest, I quit after spending 8 hours on a weekend chopping trees and mining nodes and then buying the reagents to refine in the trade post to level furnishing from 161 to 164…
Realized the game was focused on grinds rather than fun end game activities, asked myself when was the last time I had fun in game and It was longer than a week, had a blast leveling and exploring and the rest was a drudgery of the boring to get what?
I think the game is more work than fun, and for that reason I am out.
Do you know when you go to Google to find an opinion that fits your ideas and purposes? The devs do the same thing here, unfortunately is the 1% they are looking for.
@Skillo@Argyx@Drakon_A
None of that made any sense and you fully missed the point of the OP.
I mean I’m all for being mad but this is not the place. I get you are invested as time goes and don’t like the direction they took but if you do a deep dive it is literally what my OP was about. Then do another deep dive through the old closed threads and you will see the posts asking for things you want have maybe 1 or 2 responses and are closed.
Then look at the ones that have hundreds of responses. You will see a trend.
I understand you don’t want to agree with me as conflict is human nature but at least do your own research as the medium is actually right here.
Doesn’t have anything to do with 1% or 99%… they don’t listen to any of us… pop is low cause ags has terrible engine with terrible devs who can’t make a simple change to one number without screwing up something unintended… and then they don’t test it to see what broke.
Cryengine is ranked 7 in lists of engines but even so. It is a good platform for a game such as this. I get it though the bugs are sometimes frustrating.
I’m taking a short break myself and I’d rather not. I personally feel mutations at this time where bad, they are only good for the teams grinding them and it’s always the same team pushing for the next tier. The guys I played with 90% of the time moved on and due to a lack of players or players being focused on the grind I can’t even get a team together to run laz for my 1rst time, free rides - no charge & no one will join. Ive grinded 50% of my playtime solo and ive reached a avg GS of 586. I love the game but you will never get anywhere in endgame solo. Also things I see selling on other servers for 4-5k are 20k on mine. The merge was so one sided it seems yellow and green are outnumbered 3/1. Anyway great game but Im burnt and need a break. I’m sure I’ll be back just not this week… or next
I didn’t miss your point, I simply am not impressed by a person tossing percentages around like they mean something. Save the hyperbole for people that don’t work in data analytics.
You provide some reporting rather than anecdotal feels and then we can talk.
Also, I’m not mad. I haven’t played this game in weeks. Why would I be angry about a game?
Mutators’ patch may have been the final straw for many people. At least that has been the universal premise on youtube, streamers, and various discord communities.
But some might also be taking a break. (unlikely, but possible).
would rather not have whiners go back to the game. yall can leave. the game is doing fine - people just like to cry about everything my god.
sure there’s bugs and what not, but at least they’re listening and getting them fixed - maybe not as quick as some people would like but it’s getting done.
