I agree. Game is ridiculous easy, way to easy in my personal opinion.
Some ppl want New World as MMO game to reach to the point when ppl can login once every 3 months, do few clicks then go and kill all ppl who they wish to. After they get bored to kill everybody they will quit for few more months, idiots like me will keep playing everyday. Then when they are bored in other game(s) they are playing, just return in New World and kill all again.
Gold is easy as fck to get:
270g or so first 3 Faction Missions - 700g+.
Gather Bags, 3 everyday - 200-500g (now we have 11 bags from event that generate even more gold).
1k gold from first Expedition/Elite run.
1k-2k daily for Cooldowns (this might be option, but now its easier to lvl up).
360g-720g from first 2 OPR per day for Gypsum.
Basically any mob u kill generates some gold, u can do it while skinning or whatever.
All beginning raw materials are sellable easy and fast, u can start make profit from lvl 10 by cutting trees, mining mines, stones, skinning animals, etc
I dont think there is any game that gives gold so easily and from everything, except Arena (but even from Arena u can generate gold from PvP Track rewards).
You don’t even need that. You can do 2 level25 major portals and get the 2 bags. You can even save up the breech caches so you can just open 2 to get your 1k without having to actually play that day.
There are lots of options of things to do and not much “forced daily content” (missing some gypsum/shards isn’t the end of the world) so I don’t see NW as “grindy”.
if you are calling this game grindy you havent playeed a grindy game at all
i have been playing this game at most 4 hours a day and i have all the sh.t i need
there is grind but its nothing compared to korean or chinese games…
Was that a typo? Did you say 15 000 hours?
That is the equivalent of a full time job for over 8 years (5 days a week, 12 months a year), just to stay competitive.
No wonder MMORPGs’ playerbases are collapsing and the genre becoming less and less popular.
This generation has seen their purchasing power reduced by almost 50% compared to previous generations. Some people have to take multiple jobs and still can’t afford buying a home.
Are you telling me that is normal that you need to spend the equivalent to a part-time job or even a full time job in a stupid game doing repetitive tasks in order to have a chance?
Clearly, the concept of MMORPGs that you like is then aimed at people who doesn’t need to work for a living, who have no lives, or both at the same time, then.
If AGS wants to get more players for their game, then they know what must be done: stop catering to the no-lifers who can waste 1/3 of their lifespan grinding for digital crap.
No. Maybe he has a life he needs to work for, a family to spend time with, and healthy sleeping habits he needs to maintain.
FFXIV with a 400h main campaign to even get to max level and ESO with its Paragon system that is way grindier than NW’s expertise system are probably not the best one to shit on NW with.
True, but the huge difference is 5% total stats between a Legendary and 2Gold Exotic weapon. A person with under 30 hours grinded in GW2. Can compete and completely dumpster a 10,000 hour PvEer with Full Legendary gear trying to step into PvP.
In New World it’s hundreds if not Thousands of hours of PvE to get to start the game. GW2 have multiple dimensions of progression.
PvP Progression
PvE casual Progression
Raid Progression
FoTM Progression
WvW Progression
Cosmetic Progression (Hence the dubbed name ~Fasion Wars~)
If you want to be a better PvP player in GW2. You hone your mechanical skills, not your gear.
If you want to look better in GW2. You have massive amounts of grind ahead of you for cosmetics. Even though that being the case. in GW2 there is many different avenues you can take to meet your cosmetic goals.
Based on your logic, extreme language, and impatience/entitlement…I’m guessing that you’re in your early twenties. The game has a grind and we all knew it. I don’t understand the outrage. Most of us don’t want things just handed to us. Either way, the grind has been greatly reduced since launch.
I don’t mind fun multiple dimensions of grind. But two to four boring chores to be repeated for hundreds or thousands of hours if I’m not RNG carried. Is where MOST gamers clearly draw the line.
More so when that game was sold having the total opposite.
Link your hours played and show off your character gear/skills/etc.
Spending more time doing menial tasks in a game does not make you a “hard worker”. Not wanting to do arbitrary bullshit the devs built in the game to slow people down does not make people “lazy”.
There’s a reason MMOs have become one of the most niche gaming genres, and it’s because the developers keep catering the game to the lowest common denominator; Bad players with a lot of free time. What a horrible demographic to take pride in.
Seems like you’ve got some issues with yourself to unpack.
