Will New World Survive?

So, AGS is headless right now.

Several outcomes can come of this, possibly:

  • New World course gets corrected and becomes one of the best game of the next decade.
  • Most problems are fixed and the game does OK as a niche pvp game for some time.
  • The current game gets ditched and new development starts from zero.
  • AGS is obliterated and Amazon stops trying to build games.

What do you think?

I’m leaning towards none of them at the moment.

Game might just die. 20k is very low number

It will likely go Free To Play when the new desert area expansion is released in 8 months.

In the meantime they have 20k free testers.

Honestly like this idea, use this time fix issues, and get new base game content ready to go, then when things are in a better state go free to play as a form of a relaunch! Of course they will need to monetize it with more skins and stuff but as long as it doesnt lead to pay to win im cool with it!
