No it exposes the issues. You likely use a browser based on open source code. Same situation applies. Problems are found faster or in a lot of cases more eyes mean more problems are found but at the same time more brains means more people who can come up with good solutions to a problem.
Hadn’t heard much about 03DE, will have to download and check it out. In theory, it will make AGS life easier to build on an open source or widely used engine. A big issue with using anything super proprietary like Lumberyard is hiring new devs onto the team, they are unlikely to have experience with that engine. It sounds like AGS had some major turnover on dev team since this game started. So any new devs needed to learn a new engine plus the actual architecture of project. A big part of why so many games and apps are built with UA and Unity is that you can hire new people who already have experience with them when there’s employee turnover.
Dude I think you’re a little late hahahaha. They are not going to port the game to another graphics engine. Even if lumberyard is the worst graphics engine ever, NW will stick with it unfortunately.
Sinking for sure. But 30k playing it yesterday afternoon, so they still have some chances left. Current faction+economy related issues looking like they could be final killer if not resolved. All the time gated items really not helping either.
