That forces people into playing a hybrid dps/healer build. People shouldn’t be forced into a playstyle because the devs have forced healers into a single spec because it’s the only one remotely viable. That’s what’s happened with VG and why 99% of people run void blade.

Edit: also we should add, “If the skill shot heal is missed, a random ally will instantly die.” That sounds dope too 
Why? Healer should not be able to kill others at the same skill and should not die to them either. If healer focuses on healing themselves, they should be able to heal themselves. If no one dies, it is still a well balanced scenario.
This forum post made NO sense and its very apparent none of you have played heals in MMOs. High heals makes up for low DPS and health points. Low heals, dps, and health would make the healing class absolutely useless. Just like mages are meant to be squishy but do a ton of DPS. Stop crying every patch it’s getting old.
It is the problem, especially for healers, but for others as well. Have two melee or even rangers fight each other, while one wears light and the other heavy… see if the rolls compensate for the missing defensive stats. I feel like the light armour is missing the mobility at the very least, and more damage/heal output would be nice.
Light armour should be high risk high reward, people in light should not be able to just withstand damage, unless they actively evade, but they should get extra mobility and especially damage to compensate the risk.
stop tuning down the healer and find healthier ways to fix these problems in PVP. It’s not the healers fault they were poorly designed but your all gonna be some sad when nothing you do has a healer anymore.

I play a full focus healer with heavy armor and yep you aren’t killing me and you should not be able to…but guess what? I’m not killing you either….seems balanced to me…you want to kill someone go after a non healer but then they also have a chance at killing you…seems balanced to me…if I can keep two groups up why should I not be able to keep myself up 1v1 or even 2v1? I should be able to sustain until my teammates arrive….
cant understand what you’re trying to get across… but healers should NOT be nerfed any more than they have.
After reading thru the comments and thinking about it, i suppose i was wrong. The suggestion of nerfing self healing was in itself a bad idea. Perhaps just heavy armour is the issue.
My comment was based on the context of 1v1 pvping. I just don’t think that a heavy armour healer standing in their circle and chugging potions can just withstand a player landing all their hits/skills cannot die. A skilled player should be able to kill them. Even if u could land all your musket or bow shots, you still cannot kill the bugger.
Healers should fear me and run when seeing my uber chad dps build.
They should be inferior cause I’m the only one qualified to able to think.
All healerals I mean all, don’t have the skills the current me have.
I’m the only one in the game that knows how the perks and mechanics of this game works.

You’re the one who has to use their head. Healers aren’t supposed to be dishing out dps and sure aren’t supposed to be 1v1ing. This game isn’t balanced around duels, it’s balanced around group content. PvE and PvP.
So to say that it’ll be more fair if you lower their heals and up their dps so people can 1v1 them just doesn’t make any sense for them in their role, which is healing the team. Think about it man, cmon.

The idea of nerfing everything so you can dominate with your great axe isn’t why this forum exists. Nerf this nerf that. Dies to mage “Nerf mages” post, dies to musket “Nerf musket” post.
No. 30% dmg debuff for heavy is just plain stupid. It has the worst dodge, you can get similar mitigation in medium while having 10% dmg buff.
Making balancing changes on the outcome of 1v1 situations isn’t a good way to balance pvp.
I think they should be able to survive it speccing deep into mitigation and CON, in a perfect world they should just be bloody woeful at doing anything else except that.

please don’t talk like that. heals are already fixed enough. U do not know all the healers who kill you. maybe they have a well-pumped attribute besides focus and have excellent perks, or u have absolutely bad defense so u melt. maybe u don’t know that there is Shift in the game, but that healer is a skillful player. I know a lot of bad healers.
please stop whining about mega unkillable and strong healers, don’t touch us.

The problem is for healing on heavy gear, but mainly for 1v1s only, where yes, a healer can stand still like an idiot and most of the time not die. Most of the time, because a skilled player with the right build can take down a healer that does not know how to dodge and etc.
For groups fights, if the healer can stand still it’s the group attacking fault, doing something wrong.
