Windows 11 Users - Actual Fix for Untrusted System File - Steam

Hi Everyone (Windows 11 Steam Users)

Do not delete certificates. Do not replace .dll files

I went to Easy Anti Cheat folder
Ran the exe
Clicked New World from the drop down
Clicked repair

Then

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
Right click steamclient64.dll
->Security
Click ALL RESTRICTED APPLICATION PACKAGES
Click Full Control
Apply

You are welcome. I didnt test operation of the game after easy anti cheat repair, so maybe it solves it before modifying the .dll permissions. Let me know

I hope for at least most of you that didnt modify too much file structure trying to fix this.

Confirmed logged in, no file replacement. Nothing except that to get back in game and playing.

This is a good quick fix, I think the problem is that Windows 11 and steam updated things that are used to enable the new TPM2.0 system for windows 11.

This means if you have updated windows auto or either by using the windows update comand you will need to do this to hot fix the game.

Yep, although I just modded the post. Because I forgot I ran thru a repair prior to trying.

Not sure which one did it or if they are co-dependent in resolving it.
Just wanted to be thorough

I would say this problem is split into the issue of either Anti cheat programs error or either the DL error.

The anti cheat one can be fixed via running steam as an admin and using the anti cheat repair feature.

The DL one should be fixed with this. Or by replacing the file from a webpage.

I did all the steps to try to fix it, including formatting Windows and installing the released version of Windows 11.

My game keeps crashing, CPU temperature in the max range of 60c, vga 2080 super is only 75c.

Now after the steam update, it says I’m not logged in but the big villain is your ANTI CHEAT.

He’s probably the biggest troublemaker.
