You’re grossly overreacting to the impact of the dupes and exploits.
Does Amazon need to fix these issues? Of course.
Is a wipe going to be good for the health of the game? Of course not.
After the exploits have been fixed, a re-evaluation of the equipment system (which is direly needed anyways) would fix nearly every problem caused by the dupes.
The endgame isn’t even serious anyways. There’s no skill-based combat or content to challenge players or brag about. No one gives two shits who owns territory unless you’re maxing out the tax rates, and if that’s a problem you can just server transfer.
Stop pretending this is a game that can be taken seriously.
Stop pretending like you didn’t take the game seriously, because by it’s nature it’s probably the most competitive based MMOs on the market. Meaning it more than those others needs to maintain a baseline level of entry and acquisition.
This game is amazing until you get to these technical issues that have created a terrible state of play. The only way to right that ship is erasing its damage.

Guys wiping the entire game would be devastating to the game and the majority of the playerbase.
I have a career, family, 3 children, a house, after school sports,…on average, I have 8-12 hours A WEEK to play this game. I’m not the only person that falls into this category…
It would be DEMORALIZING to lose the progress that I’ve made in the past month.
You cant punish the vast majority(the majority of players are just trying to honestly/legitimately enjoy the game) of players because of the actions of a minority.
Yes, all these exploits suck, yes it’s horrible etc, but AGS cant just wipe peoples progress…that would be a bad decision
Your reasoning makes more sense if AGS cant fix the issues…dont you think it’s a better decision to WAIT and see what they do first before wiping away peoples progress?
I don’t need to pretend. This game hasn’t facilitated skill-based combat in nearly a year (currently 11 months). If gameplay isn’t skill-based, then the content isn’t worth taking seriously.
No one gives two shits about wars or expeditions or anything at end game, with or without dupes and exploits. This game lacks competitive spirit because this game lacks skill expression in the gameplay.
Now go back to picking flowers like the rest of us.
Launch a new non-transferrable server/world for each region that has double EXP ONLY (level, weapon levels, trading skills) rates for a week or more that everyone can join.
Make this server/world have delayed updates vs the current servers unless it’s a crucial update / change. This is to make sure any updates for this server is bug free as much as possible. And TBH current live servers are the real beta from what’s going on.
If ever this server/world population dies everyone would have a chance to transfer out but not allowed to go back.
By doing this you are giving people an option to either make a new character for a bug / exploit free server/world or just continue on with their current ones.
This is for the people who wants to play with a peace of mind that no one on that server exploited or had an advantage in terms of trading skills etc. Because let’s be honest, even if AGS tells people that they banned everyone that is exploiting, people won’t believe it or people would have lingering doubts.
Even if they deleted every single item and gold duped and ever item bought with duped gold and every item crafted with an item that was duped to bought with duped gold those people would still have the inflated levels from crafting things with those duped items/golds.
I’m obviously referring to the people that received upwards of 100k randomly sent to them. Those that did the duping will obviously be banned and won’t have levels that matter rdrr
I pumped 700 hours into this game, proof needed? I don’t mind replying again. The majority of my trade skills are almost maxed out, in my eyes (eye lol) there is no end game. The genre is “role playing game”, need me to repeat role playing, meaning you create your story. If your looking for the end well technically that doesn’t exist so therefore if your going to cry about a possible wipe maybe you need a bigger tissue box for the tears. A wipe is kind of needed. Not your face; the servers + the new code infrastructure.
Also, the only players new world is going to lose is the toxic 12 year olds who can’t get the exploits to work anymore.
If you want to wipe join a low population server and create a new character. Start over as many times as you want. Not every server is destroyed by cheaters. I’m on a medium population European server and I’m yet to see the swathes of bots or someone throwing gold around for free.

It’s bull. You did it once and i’m sure it technically isn’t even the first time, Just the first time in this game.
How many max toons you no lifers have in other MMOs? How many times have you people played through Skyrim?
The game gets a big exploit fixing mega patch followed by fresh servers and you’re NOT going to jump at that? You clearly didn’t like playing the game to begin with and would have left anyway.
Lets say a wipe made sense (I disagree) to fix the economy, etc. There would be no point to wipe the game for at least a year because they will be fixing major issues for at least that long. If you wipe it now it will all be made moot when people find the next exploit, or the one after that. This game is in far too rough a shape to be talking about clean slates.
