Also need to go back and find some of these things that I wanted to give credit for and forgot. Reminder to myself @Mrblurr (assuming thats you) for the idea of giving a specific drop a unique drop sound. Thought that was pretty cool. Not something the game needs immediately and likely could be at the bottom of their priority list, but its a cool idea.
Now if only I wrote down all of the ideas I tell myself, “remember this for later so I can throw it on this thread” haha. Oh well. Whats that 2 1/2 men meme? If it was really important then I would not have forgotten about it?
Also side tangent. Been meaning to make a dedicated thread to the music skill. So many ways they could improve on what is already a really cool skill
I think, no question, the most obvious and important change they could make would be to add a real character creator to the game. The current character creator is significantly worse than those from 20-year old MMOs or even mobile games. Laughably, there are literally only two body choices (male and female- and these look almost the same anyway). Every one of the face presets are hideous and busted looking. There are no sliders or customization options of any kind for either face or body, and there is no absolutely way to alter the look of your character after creation. (Though merely adding a barbershop is basically pointless when the character customization options are so minor and meaningless— there is no point in implementing this feature unless they first provide some actual customization in the creator.) So you essentially have an MMORPG where everyone plays a character that looks nearly indistinguishable from everyone else’s aside from their choice of hairstyle and color, and where every character is ugly. Rather sad considering how good the game’s graphics are and how beautiful are the environments that no work at all was done on player characters.
Yeah it’s probably approaching or past a year since they said that they would be redoing the territory standing system and allowing a few respec as a make good on the gathering card bug. We used to get % yield but they changed it to speed on us after they changed it. Many of us already committed to that card thinking it was yield. It’s been a year and still no change of make good for the players.
Dont open Fresh start server, me and my community will stop the game for ever if Fresh start go to main Server,
Let us take advantage of these servers, we don’t need players who come from the servers Legacy.

Appreciate the feedback. This is a good opportunity to dispel this myth though. The impact of dupes actually is very miniscule compared with the innate territory control system in this game. I would like to see them eventually limit fracturing the community but totally understand people have different priorities here.
Unfortunately this game has too many gear sets. Then swapping trophies and swapping gear, etc is not particularly fun content so this would be to limit boring and wasted game time on things that could be improved with QOL updates like this. We already have crafting gear right now so it’s hard to just completely eliminate it and some other enjoy it and farming it. So this would be one way to retain it and eliminate wasted time. I do agree it is very similar to trophies.
It’s funny because this post has been up for so long and I’ve really reevaluated this idea since it’s creation. I’ll probably keep it up because it’s commonly requested, but I agree that it often worsens the community and playerbase. I just never really played any game with it but have been convinced. Too much toxicity in gaming communities at baseline, this would definitely worsen it.
They can be reasonably impactful but the system definitely is outdated and needs a nice revamp, especially since they promised us that about a year ago now and have not made good on their mistake with gathering yield/speed. I would like more options and less of an obvious progression.

reduce the amount of perks that can roll on literally everything. Niche perks are fine to be force-able when crafting, and for the sake of build-crafting please do not make any perks for weapons (outside of weapon perks) NOT-forceable through craft mods. I want to force sturdy but not accidentally roll it.
also, more resource nodes for high level materials. as of right now, having even just one person (flagged or non-flagged) in your farming zone is enough to not make it worth the time farming. Racing to nodes isn’t fun. crafting is.
The chat system really could use a complete overhaul for sure. I would like a place to keep my DMs separate so they are not lost while I’m playing and even more customization while playing. Maybe they could look to another MMO that has done it will and consider that.
Feel like there are things to update on this list again. I think having it so patterns work with timeless shards is kinda indirectly fixed since they kinda have built in timeless shards now.
Remove the obsolete azoth crafting cost selection. Make it flat charge depending on tier. Make salvage crafted 595+ give corresponding shards (bow shard,s glove shards etc) to be used during crafting giving +1 minimal GS up to +5 making it guaranteed legendary. Use the UI component for azoth selection for number of shards selection. Make shards tradable.
In that you remove the system that stopped being relevant (azoth) because with exception for levelling nobody chooses less than max azoth and added pity system to mitigate bad RNG.
