How does this work? There is a bear named Gnasher in Ebonscale. He drops an amazing musket. My musket WM is at 590. While I was farming him he dropped his named hammer. My hammer WM is at 560. The hammer dropped at 500.

How does this process work. is it worth farming the musket or will it also be 500?

Your WM raises your ceiling for drops, the floor remains the same. So, Ironbark Blaster can still drop 500, but it can also be 565 and raise your WM.

Musket WM is 590, it can still drop at 500?!
