World reset and new worlds

will the world reset or be new ones added cause say you are a really high level and/or a faction takes over the whole map it will discourage people to keeping playing with the stuff you are able to do being limited or to easy I know people are probably far from that point but for the future and also new plays its not as fun joining when 1 faction already has majority of the map like I said before we are probably far from that but its something to keep in mind for the future

LOVE THE GAME 10/10

um when a faction takes over the whole map they also have huge problems cause it costs insane ammounts of money…most guilds can barely hold on to 2 territories and if your server population has 70% of players play in one faction…a reset wont change anything, youd have to implement a ceiling on how many players can join a faction to make sure population is balanced but that wont help either as wars are fought by the best, and in my server the faction with the least players holds the most territories cause they have some very dedicated plyers that were level 60 before everyone else.

That said there is mechanics in place to prevent one faction from owning everything as in

  • you cant factionchange to the biggest faction
  • taxes are killing the company coffers
  • you get more influence the longer a territory had no war
  • being the “underdog faction” comes with benefits too, so players from the dominating faction have an incentive to factionchange. And in special pvpers already do to avoid boredom

basicly if other factions dont own one area, its super easy for them to declare war and try and take one and if they cant manage to do that…well than obviously other factions have shit pvpers and a reset wont help you at all.

If they added a faction limit what would you think of adding another faction and having 4 instead of 3. This would give people more options and will hopefully help with one faction taking control. They could also have something like you are talking about with the ceiling where you cant join a faction if it has a specific number of more players than the other 3 than

wont help. First youd have to change the game big time to allow for that (all the faction quests, npcs, lore…)

second, if a faction is super popular cause of its lore, visuals, or just because of the community, adding another faction wont decrease the player base of the existing one, rather the base of the other factions exaggerating the issue not making it smaller.

games with 3 or more factions always have the issue of one faction being dominant. Only solution that works is a 2 faction system, not adding even more.

You wouldn’t necessarily have to change it completely. Just so I have an example when gta adds a new online heist add the mission then the “lore”. But that’s why it takes so long. With number of factions I think if you added the cap to it yes you would have the dedicated players of level 60 but it would help balance factions. Like on the server I’m on green has taken over most of the map due to them having more of the players I feel like the 4th faction would give people more options or do you think if they just left it at 3 factions and then adding a faction cap would be best . Since 2 is to small and 4 is to big

if you add a 4th faction now you can bet its a dead faction no one will play in. And those who will will transfer from the 2 faction that are already small giving the marauders an even bigger advantage.

Also given how server politics work theres a good chance one server will be dominated by syndicate and one by marauders and they will never fight over control cause they are on different servers. With a 2k population theres just a great chance that one faction will absolutely dominate sooner or later in special if a big streamer is on the server. on our server one streamer has 5 companies, full…so 1/4th of the server population is one company…not even one faction, one company. what do you think this does to balance

I most likely would not suggest a new “faction” -

However, because (like on my server) when one faction controls a chunk of the map ect. most factions either world transfer , or just quit and start again - because their faction was not able to cough up the power to fight said faction …

I would however, suggest - that perhaps the higher Tier invasions - when not defended properly , or a loss to them - kicks out the current “occupants” making the area, “neutral” again -
this makes sense from both mechanically and storyline stand point , as the people who were meant to defend that city were pushed out by the corruption invasion , and thus should not “own” it anymore- leaving the area open to be taken by ANY faction - in response.

This could mean that factions need to be able to fully defend not only from the other factions, but from the corruption as well - and add another “element” to the game -

Could even go as far as to make the Invasion’s heavily PvE - (no idea if they are) meaning that your high skill pvpers with perfected pvp builds that do jack PvE, are going to get creamed when the invasion happens… you would need both a mix of PvE players/PvP players to really control a area - too much PvE , you lose it to other factions, too much PvP, you lose it to the insane invasion waves…

ANOTHER option might be after a set time of a faction holding the world - those factions are automatically shipped off to a new sever - call it a “high stakes” table - Where they then face off against like minded people- who have done the same thing on other servers- Server A is held in large part by Covenant - ship them off, to fight against people who on their servers, Syndicate held sway - and ofc against the people who on the Marauder Server held power.

this - would mean that the “clans” that prove themselves to be forces, end up fighting other clans that prove themselves to be forces… rather then “powerhouses” kicking the crap outta “noobies” who are just tryin to play - would a interesting dynamic. .

Ofc just ideas.
