After server transfer tokens the server I’m at is pretty much dead. I haven’t received a token yet but I know that it will be delivered in a few days at most. However, there is no decent alternative for me to move on.
Servers with decent population are already locked. The only alternative server (in terms of population) had around 800 people online during the rush our and sadly, that same server is the only one in that World Set (which I assume means there is no immediate merge potential for the server).
From what I have observed during my time in New World anything below 500 feels bad and if the population drops lower than 400 the server feels dead. For this reason, using the transfer token to move to a 800 population server with no immediate merge potential sounds like a dead sentence to me considering how fast the game loses it’s player base.
The server I’m currently at belongs to a world set with another one in it. Combined, these both servers had a total of roughly 700 players in them (assuming they get merged).
Under these conditions, if a merge is to be expected soon™, using the transfer token to move to another server and getting trapped in it is a bad idea. On the other hand I don’t know how much more I can tolerate this local area network feeling.
So my question is whether or not I should expect a server merge between Bifrost and Niflheim (Central EU, Omicron Set) soon. And by soon I mean like in a week because today the rush our number was around 250 and that was before even more people moved on.
Can anybody point me to a source or share any information regarding this?
